It looks like it's going to be a pretty nice day today :sunny:

For all those that are cooking - are you ready??????
I baked my cookies and brownies last night, and the rest I will start when I come home from church. I didn't make a pumpkin pie this year, because I just didn't have the time, so I am picking that up at Bakers Square after church. Kevin will do the turkey, and I will make the sweet potatoes and corn pudding:thumbsup2 Kevin is making a stuffing this year that has White Castles in them. I'm very interested to see how it tastes. His parents are bringing traditional stuffing, so if the White Castle stuffing is awful, we will still have stuffing today :thumbsup2 I will let you know how this new stuffing tastes, and give the receipe if anyone wants it.

I still need to do a little cleaning today, but not much, since it's just our parents coming over. I'll clean the bathrooms, and that's about it. I was going to vaccuum everything, but then I asked myself, "Why should I, when I have to vaccuum again tomorrow after we drag the Christmas boxes out for Christmas tree #2?" So I"m going to wait and just do it Friday night or Saturday afternoon:)

Well, I better get going and get ready for church, and I'm going to need to get Stephanie up too (she won't be happy:sad2: ). Once she's at church she'll be fine - it's just the getting up and getting ready that she won't like.

Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Happy Turkey Day Taglikins!

Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful day. Don't eat too much!

.

Morning.. happy turkey day!!!

CMOM - at least you have enough stuff.. but 8 people not RSVP is a bit much.. oh BTW we'll be there too.. LOL JK..

NCB - how do you do the upside down stuff?? Very nice.

SLO - have fun.. it is nice I am hoping to open the doors and get some fresh air..

The boys are supposed to clean and vacuum.. to my standards.. wanns take a bet on that?? ;) I did some things yesterday but most is today. I got up early and got the turkey prepped.. and did the pumpkin casserole, now onto the twiced baked potatoes..

have a great holiday..

Did everyone survive yesterday????

We had a very nice day - we always do:goodvibes !!! We have no conflicts with our family, which I am very grateful for. Our meal turned out very well, and the White Castle stuffing was yummy!!!! The rest of our family thought it was yummy too ::yes:: Kevin may get stuck making the stuffing every year, now that he did this:rolleyes:

The last of our guests left at around 7:30pm (my brother and SIL) and then I got in my jammies and watched Home Alone, and then part of Christmas with the Kranks. It was a relaxing night!!!

Today I have to go to work, and I'm praying for some business. Normally, I don't have any today, because everyone is either tired from shopping at 2am, or they are shopping at places like the mall. We put a "Super Sale" banner up Wednesday, but I don't know if many saw it. I guess we'll soon find out. My college employee comes in today, so I'm only planning on working until about 2pm. Then I'm going to come home, and help Kevin get the rest of the Christmas items out of the attic. Then tonight, and tomorrow afternoon, I am going to put up Christmas tree #2. I told Stephanie that I will bring home the mini ladder from work, so her and Katie can put the ornaments on this tree - they'll really enjoy that!!!!!:goodvibes

Well, I should go get in the shower and get ready for work
Have a good Friday everyone!!!

Living with 3 boys, gosh you must be a saint. I find it impossible just living with one :lmao:

Well I am from the UK, but I love America, so much so I am desperate to move there. I just need to find my Star's Hollow :confused3

And since I am from the UK I don't really understand the whole kindergarten/school/college system and the whole freshman/sophmore thing... can someone please explain that :thumbsup2

I love watching Christmas movies this time of year. Thanksgiving we watched Home Alone, and Christmas with the Kranks, and then last night The Santa Clause was on :santa: I love this movie so much - one of my favorites!!! I've seen it like 5 billion times, but I don't care, I'll watch it another 5 billion :teeth: I saw that The Polar Express was also on, but I refuse to watch that on normal tv. I need to have that in super surround sound, and no commercial breaks.:) I love this time of year!!!!!

I didn't get to start on Christmas tree #2, because I had customers yesterday, and wasn't able to leave work at 2pm, like I originally wanted to. But I"m not complaining, I'm very grateful for the business. Today, I'm hoping to get started on that tree, because tomorrow we are taking the girls for their Christmas pictures at Sears, and for their annual visit with Santa:santa: We may have some errands to run too, so I want to get alot of decorating done today:thumbsup2

We haven't had a Tag party for a long time, so let's set one up.
**I will get the m&m pool ready
M_MSwimmingPool.gif

**geffric can make breakfast with her chocolate chip pancake maker
flapjacks.gif

**Danauk can make the ground pretty, because she's the official landscaper of the TAGLIARCHY
waterfeature.gif

**We'll borrow wallybs lava lamp (because he's on his cruise and can't bring it himself
LavaLamp.gif

**Then at the end of the party ibouncetoo can read us a story from her fairy tale book
read.gif

**I think it sounds like a good time - please join us!!!!!!:goodvibes

SeeWhat - Oh, I forgot about Elf. That was on while we were eating dinner, so we watched that too :santa:

geffric- Were you able to relax and watch that movie yesterday? I hope so, we all need time for that.

ariel2007 - :welcome:
We would love to have you!!! We have another TAGLIKIN
from the UK, and her name is Danauk.
You'll love her, because we love her!!!!! Please come join us often - we would love to get to know you!!!!!!

Well, I better get going and get ready to take Stephanie to choir practice, and then go to work for awhile. I would like to only be there until 11:30am, so I can come home and get those decorations out of the attic.

Have a good day today!!!

Thanks so much Slo, I am sure I will be here often. And especially if you discuss Christmas lots :woohoo: I love Christmas, everything about it... the decorations, the trees, the food, the atmosphere, the films, even the busy-ness of it all. Sounds like you have a very fun and Christmassy weekend planned, unfortunately no such luck for me, but hopefully next week :)

My kids are teens - one is 17 and the other is 15.. so in the US that is high school.. Geoff ( the 17 year old high school senior) has applied to colleges and depending on his acceptance and $$$$$$$ , will attend one of them..

SLO - sounds like you were busy. i am glad that the store had a great day. Yesterday, I did some DISing and then left over dinner and dropped off and picked up Eric and dropped off and picked him up again.. I did finally get to see the RAT. but it was late and I was waiting for Geoff to get home.. at his curfew of 1 am..

Today I am taking the boys to the dentist and baking cookies for the cookie exhange tonight..Then tomorrow is my family on the t'day dinner so I get to make stuff all over again..

We call school for 11-16 High School too, or really it is Secondary School but over the years it has become Americanized. Ages 16-18 is then college or sixth form depending if you choose to on to an independent college or stay on at High School for sixth form, there the same things just different names. Then if you choose to go on to Higher Education it is University.
I always used to find it so strange when I first came on here how different our language actually is, its just little things but sometimes someone says something or I say something and were like :confused3. Its pretty funny. I'm getting more used to it now and I try and remember as much as I can in my trippies to explain things so there is no confusing... jacket potato anyone :lmao:
