Whooooo, it's the weekend!!

Slo the bunnies are doing great thanks. Tomorrow we plan to take them outside for a while and let them play with our other 2 for a bit. I hope you have a great day off and et all the things done you want to.

Cheeringmom I hope you have fun at the Elton John concert. I was really hoping he would be playing in Las Vegas when we are there in the summer but he is not, Cher is there instead.

I had a great day at work today (haven't said that in a long time have I!!? ) It was so quiet with 3 classes being out and it was so much less stressful. In our computer lesson we were doing control technology so had the floor robots out to control and program. Then in art we were doing animation with digital movie cameras, then as an example of the type of animation we are doing we watched Wallace and Grommit and the wrong trousers!! The kids loved it.

Well I should get on, my friends are coming over this evening (they are bringing fish and chips which I haven't had for ages!!) so I should do some cleaning!!

OH NOOOOOO GUYS Elton is cancelled. Just got the word.whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Now I won't make the trip to see Sam...which is worse than missing Elton. I hate to make the long drive just to see her all day Sunday and leave 7am monday morning. whaaaaaa But I will see her in two weeks. We are stopping by Gainesville on our way for a week at Disney....

Dolly postponed on us last month but she rescheduled for May.
She hurt her back- here's what she said in a press release-

Cheeringmom I'm sorry the concert got cancelled, any idea why? Maybe it will be rescheduled for another date.

Well this morning I am going to introduce my new bunnies to my other bunnies, however that means trying to catch Roxy and Velma. Now I suspect this will involve a lot of running around the garden (bunnies can move really fast when they want to!!) We need to introduce them inside as the baby bunnies are not old enough to go out on the grass yet (the might eat too much of it and it will be bad for their digestion.) Oh well, it will be my morning workout at least!!

So does anyone have any nice plans for the weekend? We are just doing jobs around the house that need to be caught up on, nothing exciting.

I had a really good day yesterday
I shopped at the mall for about 4 hours, and I spent way to much money I bought everything for the girls Easter Baskets, a gift for my nieghbors new baby, and the baby's big sister, some new dresses for Katie, and dress coats for both girls. It was a very successful shopping day I also had a nice quiet lunch in the food court, and then on the way home, I got a Dairy Queen ice cream cone The nicest part of the day, was being able to drive home with my sunroof open - it was wonderful!!!


cheeringmom - I'm so sorry to hear about Elton getting cancelled That's a real bummer!!!!

Morning Taglikins!

First day of my vacation...YEAH!

Big sister arrived last night, today is her birthday, so it's pedicures and a high end dinner tonight. Tomorrow she meets with a client then we all (the three sisters, plus client who is a friend) do lunch and go see "Mrs Pettigrew". After that, the rest of the week is open for shopping, dining, more movies and just general lollygagging!

BTW....8 weeks...till my cruise through the Canal!

Probably won't have much time to DIS (well maybe when sister has a book in front of her nose)...I'll stop in when I can.

Greetings.. Lots of end of qtr stuff and job hunting and trying not to get upset by/with my teens surly attititude..

Anyway, Geoff and I went to Beloit College today and he really liked it.. yes that is the one that he felt was too close to home. but I promised if he went there that we would not just drop in.. ( it is 1 1/2 away in Beloit WI)

Now I need to grocery shop and clean and laundry.. Eric is going to an over at a friends house.. so things will be quiet here..


Last week deli meat was buy 1 get 1 for purchases of 1 lb. So i ended with with 2 lbs of turkey.. cat has been getting some sliced turkey every day and she is loving it.. but it is gone and today she is miserable.. crys 'cause she wants some turkey.. good thing I am making chicken tonorrow so she can have some of that..

We got our new bed today. Jessie barely managed to jump on it while we went to town.


Geffric--- be careful with the grocery store sales and stuff---poor NC Beast had to chase a couple cans of biscuits that rolled out of the dairy case as I was checking out the pizza dough (buy one get one free) which almost rolled down the aisle to the check out counter..
We did not realize we were both putting sweets and other carbs. in the cart until check-out.

Today is going to be a pretty relaxing day .
We are going to hang out at home, until 3pm, and then we are going to my inlaws for dinner. My FIL is making corn beef and cabbage for St. Patricks Day. I like corned beef , but not cabbage , so I'll need to choke that down Oh well, I've eatin worse

I have to say though, this is our 3rd weekend w/o getting a pizza, and I'm going into pizza withdrawl I love my pizza!!!! Next weekend we won't get it either, because it's Easter. Before I know it, it's going to be April, and I went a whole month w/o pizza - I don't think that's ever happened before

Slo-- I made taco pizza for dinner. We have been eating more pizza lately because of NC Beast's over time (usually frozen). Why not eat pizza for Easter? I have no idea of what we will have for our Easter dinner yet.

We are not doing corned beef and cabbage this year. When we were in Ireland...we ate sandwiches (toasted in a sleeve in a pub...ham and cheese), steak, brown bread, Irish breakfast (NC Beast ate my blood pudding), rashers, chips (fries), and tunafish on a ciabetta toast. I think we had smoked trout and salmon on a salad at one of the Irish cousin's house. I'm not sure what cider I drank at variuos pubs, but it was good. NC Beast enjoyed his opportunities for a properly poured Guinness.

Dinner at my in-laws was very nice
I tried soda bread for the first time, and it was quite tasty!!!!


Belle - Pizza would be fine with me for Easter, but we have our entire family over on Easter Sunday, and the menu is........
Ham
baked potatoes
pierogies (potato, cheese, & mushroom)
7 layer salad
corn
dessert (my mil is bringing, so I don't know what it is)
It should be a nice meal!!!!

Morning..

Yesterday was busy with housework stuff.. made the boys clean out their closets.. I told then if they wouldn't or couldn't wear it to bring it down to the living room and I wouls fold it and give it away.. well Eric found a lot of his stuff in Geoff's closet and Geoff found his missing jeans in Eric's and I found a bunch of my tshirts etc.. so it was a very worhwhile exercise.. and now I have 3 big piles of stuff to give away..

I made orange chicken and veggie fried rice yesterday for dinner.. It was very good..The orange sause was easy.. just orange marmelade, balsamic vingear and olive oil..

Well today is work, then boy scouts so gonna be busy..


Belle- thanks for the tip on the grocery store.. it had to be very funny to see beast try and catch the dough rolling away..

SLO - no pizza??? are you trying to give it up or ????

Morning Taglikins! Happy Saint Patty's! (sorry, the green ghost was all I could come up with from the DIS smilies)

Well, no work for me this week....YEAH! Just playing with the sisters. Yesterday we saw "Mrs. Pettigrew", it was quite delightful. "Bonnaville" and "The Other Bolyn" are both on the list for this week yet. Plus we have several movies we missed in the theater that we will rent...the George Clooney one for sure.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful St. Pat's Day.

I am off all this week for Spring Break. But, unfortunately, Lily is continuing her 'sick on holiday' trend. In her seven years of life she has become very sick on two trips to see family (Once Scarlet fever, the other probably CMV - she was never diagnosed, but my DH got what appeared to be the same thing she had a few days later and he could not shake it - he was diagnosed), then she has missed trick-or-treating, her best friend's 3-year-old party, has been sick on her own birthday, Christmas toward the end of opening presents, and today she is running 104 fever with a slight cough. I know the fever sounds bad, but she runs high fevers. With a dose of meds it is down to 99.5 and she has set up our bed desk and is questing breakfast in bed.

She is really not a sickly child. She just gets sick at memorable times.

Thank goodness I was going to surprise Lily with our plans today. We were going to go to an indoor amusement park and then have a corned beef cooking party with my mom's group. She would be so disappointed if she knew what she was missing.

I hope all my Tag friends are in good health today.
