ER on tonight!!!!!

I look at one scene, and I just go, "Gasp, wah-wah, snort" followed by full on gasping for air snorts and tears. Husband looks concerned and me and says, "honey, what is it are you okay?"

(Keep in mind I am recovering from pneumonia and he's been very over-protective of me lately.)

I point at the screen and say, "That's Dr. Greene's Rachel!"

Then about two seconds later we find out it is indeed Rachel and Husband just laughs and asks me if I'm going to be okay. :lovestruc

I did the exact same thing!!! I DVR'd the episode and watched it this afternoon. As soon as the camera focused on her face, I gasped and started sobbing. I was all alone in the house, and still screeched, "It's RACHEL!!!" From then on, every time she came on camera, I would start crying all over again. Especially when one of the old-timers on staff would recognize her- it just got to me. The full-circle quality was sooo poignant and well done.

Goodbye, ER- we'll miss you!!

Well, I must not have been the only one in Georgia to complain about the fact that there were horrible sound problems during ER's finale. So, if you are an ER fan and want to see the whole finale with good sound, it is going to be reaired tonight at 8:00 pm on 11 Alive.

Detroit is rebroadcasting tonight too according to my onscreen TV guide (DirectTV)

It must be a network thing. Because we didn't have any audio problems here. Yet they are re airing the episode tonight from 8-10pm.

I have been a nurse since 1993 and a watcher of ER since the beginning. I can remember many times seeing a certain episode of ER then having something similiar come up at work (I an an ICU RN, not ER).

There was one episode with a GI bleeder and all the steps that were taken were so true to the care that a really sick GI bleeder would be treated.

I watch ER the night before renewing my ACLS and on the episode they placed an intraosseous IV because access could not be gotten, guess what was talked about as the latest IV access being suggested in the field --intraosseous.

Also with the Carter transplant episode, I have never heard of the OR at my hospital doing the whole safety check that Benton made the attending surgeon do, guess what I heard about the next day when I received a surgical pt-- a new check list that had to be done in the OR before the incision.

What I really liked about ER that there was true medicine mixed in with the "soap opera", not like some of the other medical shows out there.

I will truely miss ER, Thursday nights will just not be the same without it.
