Yeah, I wear leggings for warmth, and the shorts for modesty reasons, the shorts definitely come in different lengths so the coverage from them doesn't really increase the heat for me; I guess what I mean is I'm still cooler wearing a skirt with the "compression" shorts underneath than I am pants, regular shorts, capri's etc... The actual main tip I have is make sure they are comfortable around the waist. It's a pain to have a comfy skirt/dress and then have the shorts trying to squeeze you in two. lol

To me compression shorts are more....pull it in, tighten it up by fabric content. I wear mostly cotton bike shorts .

You are referring to shapewear like spanx. They are not the same thing. Nike Pros are not shapewear and have no type of control built in. Technically, "bike shorts" have the padding in the butt for comfort on those hard seats, but I know what you mean. You are speaking of cotton compression shorts. You are surely not walking around Disney in true "bike shorts" LOL.

I just ordered the Jockey shorts from Amazon after having some people on here suggest them. They were very light (they don't "hold in" anything, just keep you from chafing) and comfortable. They didn't roll up or down on me. The only thing I'd say I maybe didn't like is how long they are - they were just about the same length as the average sundress so you could see them as I walked or whatever. I got the tan ones so they sort of blended in with my skin. The nice thing I didn't think about is protecting my thighs from terrible metal chairs when sitting outside at a restaurant - that was a great bonus to wearing them! I didn't want to order the shorter ones because I was quite sure the short ones would roll up and/or not be long enough to help with the chafing.
