***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

We will be at PFTS on 10/11. DD, DM and I went last year, and this year we're bringing DD's fiancee, DS and DD. Just hoping to find a seat for DM who is 89!! Maybe we should send the guys in ahead of us to scout for seats.

I would actually talk to the cast member checking people in if they would be able to accommodate your special needs for an 89 year old. They might be able to escort her to a table before the curtains are drawn so you don't have to worry about her. Never hurts to ask.

If the guys hurry in and don't see any table towards the front, they can hurry to the back and grab a table. :goodvibes Looks like there will be lot of Dissers at several of the Parties.

It might be my imagination but last year it seemed like there were more tables and we never had a problem finding a place to sit or stand. Also, the lines were not near as long. It seemed they finally have figured out how to fix faster than they can serve!!

In answer to your first question yes they can also have issues with the credit card machine glitches.

Secondly, the list I am hoping isn't a full list. Disney tends to only release a sample of items and the list seems to show this. From when I've been in the past (2 years ago) we had....

Thanks for taking the time to post this! It's very helpful. And I too hope this isn't the complete list we're seeing. Though maybe I save some $$$ if it were. :cutie:

I read earlier in this thread that the Bluezoo Signature Dinner on Nov 7th was sold out. I called today and booked it!!! For some reason they had 28 seats still available (26 after I got done).

Just went to Epcot after work tonight to walk around. The sky opened up when we were a mile away and rained for a bit, but we waited and finally went in. DH made me leave the camera in the car in case it started raining again, so no pictures.

Looks like a good amount of the booths are in place, many in their "regular" location, some that look like brand new booths. The Pearville area is being built. Sam Adams booth isn't up yet, but then neither is the Canada booth.

Wow, that's cool! I wonder how many seats they're going to have total...

I just had to post this ...

lurkyloo, your wedding pictures are absolutely stunning! Not only are they visually arresting, but they convey so much joy - thanks for posting the link so nosy DISers like me could take a peek. It really looks like your wedding and reception were wonderful. :goodvibes

The night we were there we felt that there were fewer tables and not a lot of room to move around. We stood at a table for a while and people would walk by and dump their plates and glasses on it because the staff was pushed to the limit clearing!

Hey, thanks for the sweet comments! Our trip for F&W will be our first time back in Epcot since the wedding - we're really excited to just be there again.

lol! Well according to the adverts over here Pandas like chocolate so there we go - we have some strange adverts for chocolate in the UK (Panda playing the drums being one of the weirdest I know of)

I couldn't agree more :thumbsup2 . My DS who is 8 thinks lurkyloo looks like Kate Winslet from Titanic.

Same here - we went on 10/20 and 10/27 and all the tables and high tops were packed!

Lurkyloo, your pictures made my jaw drop - especially the color contrasts between your bouquet and your necklace - gorgeous, just gorgeous.

For the table thing, the part we care most about is just having a place to *cut* if need be. As the evening gets later, it gets easier just to sidle up to people and ask if we can join them at their table (since the wine has been flowing).

But yes, I thought there were fewer tables last year as well. And I'd absolutely talk to Disney beforehand about accomodations for seating if you need it.
