Did anyone see the special they ran last night on all the places in Orlando that sell used (illegal) park passes. The show producers used hidden cameras to purchase some and even followed families that purchased them all the way to the park gates to only watch/show them be turned away because the passes were invalid. They did then also helped them get their money back and the places where they purchased the tickets. A week later those places moved to new locations.

It was very interesting.

Why isn't this enforced more in FL? It is illegal. They even had the asst attorney general on showing that it was difficult to prove in court

This is a huge problem in Fla. Before that show ran we had one here on our local news. Some of the places shown sell tickets they get from guests that didn't use the whole thing, while others are just expired. I had a relative come down and without talking to me first he went to one and purchased 6 parkhopper passes for an unbelievable price. When he got to the gate he got in the first day, but when he went back the next morning they were told that his passes expired. He freaked! He went back to place where he purchased them and the person gave him 6 more and then apologized. When he went back those new ones didn't even work. He finally gave in and bought real ones from WDW. But when he went back he this time brought the police. Boy did they give his money back fast! NEVER BUY YOUR TICKETS ANY OTHER PLACE THAN WDW. Usually the deal you get from a place on the side of the road is the worst deal you'll ever receive.

Good advice...there are VERY few places other than the actual parks where it's safe to buy tickets.

Some words of wisdom, if you are going to purchase tickets outside the parks, make sure that it is an official place that is authorized to sell tickets. I know that if you are staying off-site at a good neighbor hotel, they are defintiely the real thing.

Besides, getting deep discounts on park passes are very hard to get anyway. If you see a deal that is too good to be true, forget them and buy them from TDS or in the resort.

Testtrack321's Tips For The Wise #7A- Tickets

- Only buy tickets from the location (the park, museum, or Disney Store) or using a well known service (travel agent or TicketMaster.)

-Cheep or Discounted Tickets= Fake Tickets or They Have a Catch

- Never buy from scalpers.

-Don't sell your used 5 or 7 day passes.

-If the tickets look cheep or poorly made (dosen't have Disney or Tickemaster on them) ask for a refund.

-Use your gut instinct, if the whole situation seems to good to be true or a little fishy (like the salesman is hasty or moves around a lot), don't buy the tickets!

I saw someone at EPCOT get stuck with this. Tried to go through the gate and got and Access Denied. They said they had just bought them on 192..shame..thats what you get..DON"T BUY FROM THESE PLACES!!
