Hi! My name is Becky, and I'm a long-time Disboards member (under a personal account). QuickRewards.net is a new advertiser here and I wanted to reach out and introduce QR and tell you what it has to offer.

By way of introduction, I'm a SAHM of two, and my oldest is a teenager...so believe me, I know what it's like to have to live on a budget, living paycheck to paycheck but wanting to be able to do it a little more comfortably.

QR can help. Here's how:

You'll earn REAL cash that you can redeem for PayPal any time (no minimum required to request payment) or you can choose to be paid in gift cards instead (many available including Walmart, gas cards, and DISNEY!). More on that in a second.

There are a lot of ways to earn on QR, and it's interesting and fun!

  • Complete daily surveys worth up to $1.00 each (many available!)
  • Complete special surveys targeted to your personal profile (Moms? Grandparents? College Students? We need you!)
  • Shop at over 1,000 stores including DisneyStore and travel sites and earn cash back - coupon codes are available, too!
  • Print and use grocery coupons (another way to stretch your budget!)
  • Visit websites
  • Play daily trivia and "Guess My Number" games
  • Complete tasks like watching videos or verifying search engine results
  • Complete offers like joining websites or requesting quotes (a lot of members set up a special Hotmail or Yahoomail account for these to be sure their primary email address doesn't get overwhelmed)

How much can you expect to earn on QR? Our most active members earn up to $5 a day. Completing surveys is really the best paying activity on the site. If you have any problems with surveys, just let us know and we often credit your account anyway! Don't rush through or just click random answers, and usually you'll have no problems.

How long does it take to get paid? That's where we live up to our name: we pay quickly! PayPal payment requests are processed within 72 hours. Gift cards are mailed out weekly. I've been using rewards programs like QuickRewards.net since 1997, and no one else pays faster. Period!

I've been a member of QR since it started in 2002, and I was such a loyal fan that they put me on the payroll. ;) I've run their shopping blog for 3 years now. If anyone has questions about how QR can help you earn and save money, I'm happy to answer them on this post!

Or, if you'd like to be paired up with a fellow Disboards member that's also familiar with QR and can share their tips with you in email, let us know after you sign up (click the banner below) and we'll assign you a "buddy"!

Thanks for considering QuickRewards.net. Hope to see you soon on our shopping blog and our Facebook page!

I have looked all over the QR site, and I can't find the answer to this -

I was going to shop through the site, and at the bottom of the store there is this
$ 5.50% (icon that looks like a blue ball on a swoosh)25/$

I get the first #, but what is the 2nd? (25/$)
also, what is qp?

Hi, hipchickie! Great questions, and I'm happy to help!

1. The second set of numbers (in your example, 25/$) refers to tokens. Tokens are a system we use to give our members a little something extra. Not only will you earn 5.5% cashback for shopping at this particular merchant, but you'll also be awarded 25 tokens per dollar you spend.

Beside shopping, tokens can be earned in other ways on QuickRewards, for example, by playing games, by completing some offers on the site, by completing certain surveys, and by completing offers and tasks on the OfferWall.

Tokens have their own section in the cashout area. It takes a LOT of tokens to cash out -- so it's really a reward for members to remain active with QuickRewards. If you do stick around a while and keep on earning those tokens, you'll eventually be able to cash them out for merchandise including magazines, DVDs, books, and games. Members of our Elite program (those meeting a certain minimum activity level per quarter) can choose to cash their tokens out for gift cards if they'd prefer.

2. Your other question was about qp (QuickPoints). QuickPoints are basically a fraction of a cent, and they convert to cash automatically -- 100 qp is the same as $.01. For instance if you see on your account balance (at the top right of every page) that you have 80 qp, then you go to the Daily Clicks section and click the Local.com ad for 30 qp, you'll then have 110 qp, and since the system automatically converts 100 qp to one cent, you'll see your cash balance increase by a penny, and your qp will drop to 10. Your qp will constantly roll over like that, so don't be alarmed if you see your qp drop. That's actually a good thing -- it means you just increased your cash balance!

Thank you very much for joining QR and giving us a try! If you have any other questions or if there's anything at all I can do to make your QuickRewards experience a more pleasant one, please let me know here or by email: becky@quickrewards.net.

:cool1: This is really a great site! And I can tell you all personally that they do pay out super fast. Me I am going for disney gc. (big surprise there;)
just stashing them away for my next trip to the world. Actually we used one of the ones just last week when we drove up to Disneyland and had the west coast version of the kitchen sink (we live out here in cali)
It was a great way to beat the blistering heat we had had all week long and afterwards we went up to the pool area at the Paradise Pier hotel to watch the fireworks from their pool deck.
superfun family night:wizard:

The only issue I have with this site is that they send out multiple emails a day. So far I've averaged about 1/3 of them that immediately go to a page that says "Sorry, this survey is not available". It's really annoying.

Thanks for the glowing recommendation, queenbetsey! And congrats again on winning that poster in the giveaway on our shopping blog! Those contests are fun and we try to do them as often as we can. We tend to have more around the holidays, so stay tuned!

Hi, bpesch! I got your email this morning and hope you received my reply! I'll repeat it here though in case you didn't or someone else had a similar issue: If you click to visit a daily survey router like the GMI one and you get a note right off the bat saying that there's nothing available, clearing your cookies ought to fix the problem. We don't intentionally send out emails with non-working links!

Also, we never want to send out more emails than our members want! To receive fewer emails from us, simply click Account, Programs & Email Settings. When you joined our site, you selected up to three types of emails to receive from us: Shopping, Paid for Your Opinions, and Earn Cash Online. Next to each email type is a description including the number of emails to expect daily. Find you're getting too many emails? Just deselect one or more of these email types. You'll remain a member of QR but you will need to remember to visit the website in order to take advantage of the earning opportunities.

The members that earn the most with us receive all three types of emails. They do the offers inside when they have time, and just delete them when they don't, but at least the reminder's always there to visit the site and take the surveys. Personally, if I don't have some kind of reminder, I totally forget about things. I'd forget to call my mom if she didn't Facebook me all the time! ;) (shh, don't tell her I said that!)

I started using it today... tried to do 3 different surveys, wasted 20 minutes of answering questions to only be told that I don't qualify. So I don't get anything for my time?

I know it can be frustrating at times but just keep trying. also do the daily clicks and watch the videos. Just stick with it. The more survey's I tried the more I started to qualify for. Also when you get the surveys sent to your email they usually have quickpoints even if you do not qualify.
the shopping links are good too.

Hi, budafam! Let me start with a little background, and please excuse if you knew this already but there may be some other folks reading this who weren't aware and this may help answer their questions!

A survey is made up of two types of questions: the initial screening questions, and the survey itself.

In order to get a representative sample, a survey will require a certain number of completions in different segments: For instance, they may want to survey iPhone users, and of those, so many male, so many female, and of THOSE, so many within different age and income brackets, etc. So there are a lot of segments that have quotas to be filled.

When you first start a survey, it's going to check to see if you meet the requirements needed for one of those segments that hasn't yet met its quota. That's the screener.

You may spend 5 or even 10 minutes (depending on the survey and how fast you read and type) going through the screener questions. As an example, the questions may determine that you're an iPhone user, you're female, you're 18-24, your income is under $35,000, you've had your iPhone for over two years... but you describe yourself as an "average user" and not a "power user." Whoops! The "average user" segment has already been filled....so it boots you out.

That's not unusual...that's just part of the screening process. Try another and hopefully you'll have better luck on the next one!

But, once in a while, this will happen: You spend time completing a series of detailed questions about a product or service, in what feels like the "full survey" and not just the intro screener questions -- and you're taking your time and not rushing through and just clicking haphazardly (because many surveys do have quality checks in place that will boot you out) -- and at what seems like it should be the end, instead of a "Congratulations, you have completed this survey!" message, you get a "Sorry, you did not qualify" message. If this happens, please email support, and we will credit your account anyway.

We don't program these survey -- we just help the survey companies meet their quota of completions. The survey companies sometimes have glitchy programming that will send the survey-taker to the WRONG end-of-survey screen. We believe in the Golden Rule at QuickRewards -- treat people the way you'd hope to be treated. We don't think it's fair to penalize a member who put in thoughtful time and effort into completing a survey and then got booted out at the end because of a technical glitch. Although QR doesn't get paid for any surveys that don't automatically credit (those "Congratulations" screens), we are the only survey site that offers manual credits out of our own pocket to keep our survey-takers happy. Our thought is, it's worth it because hopefully you'll stay on and continue to do surveys, which makes both of us money.

Any time you get to the "I'm sorry" screen instead of the "Congrats" screen and you are positive it's an error, please email support@quickrewards.net with the date/time and which survey router you were taking (so we can credit you for the right amount since different routers pay differently). We may ask you to hold off to see if it does autocredit -- so we don't double-pay you -- but we'll make sure you get taken care of one way or another...because that's just the RIGHT thing to do.

Please mail support if you think this was the case today.

We have literally thousands of successful survey completions every day. I hope that you'll keep trying and that your next survey experience is smooth and enjoyable! Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you in any other way! Thanks for giving QR a chance.

I signed up for this about two weeks ago and am very disappointed in the results. Even though I reveive atleast 3 emails a day with 1-3 surveys in each email, I've only been able to take about 3 full surverys.......every other survey either tells me it's not applicable to my area or it's already complete.....sorry but this seems like a scam to me and a big waste of my time!! And I clean out my cookies on a regular basis so that is not an issue! I'm going to give it another week, just to say I gave it a fair shot then I will be unsubbing and possibly looking for a way to report it for poor business practices!!!

Hi, NicoleND! I am very sorry to hear that you've been having a frustrating experience with our website! Let me say first that if you feel you're receiving too many emails from us, you can opt out of them entirely, or reduce the number we send, by clicking Account, Program & Email Settings.

The survey sites that we partner with are major organizations with great reputations. Many if not all are associated with trade associations such as ESOMAR and CASRO, which require adherence to strict standards of professional conduct.

As an example, Greenfield Online, one of our daily survey router partners, is owned by Toluna, which has been around since 2001, with over 4 million total survey panelists worldwide, and they are proudly ESOMAR compliant.

SSI (Survey Sampling International, the source of our SI Daily Routers) predates the internet, founded in 1975. They're members of CASRO, with 30 offices worldwide and members from 72 different nations.

When you click one of our emails to visit one of these survey routers, you'll be presented with a series of screening questions. Companies want opinions from different segments of their potential customers. They may have, for example, already met their required quota for women 18-35 with an income of $22,000 or less, but may still be looking for men 50+ with incomes over $100,000. So they have to figure out if the survey-taker's profile fits the segment they still need to fill.

It can be pretty frustrating when you attempt a survey, go through a few minutes of screening questions, and are told that you don't meet their requirements for that particular survey! It happens to me all the time, so I definitely feel your pain!

New surveys are added throughout the day, though, so trying again later might help get you into a new survey. Also, some demographic profiles seem to be in higher demand -- we have fewer surveys available for example for single men or grandfathers, and more for young married women with children. If there is someone else in your household that could come to the computer and complete a survey, they may have better luck.

I hope that this helps -- our members successfully complete literally thousands of surveys every day, and I hope that we can have you among them very soon!

We have some DISboards members who are also veteran QR members that have have volunteered to act as mentors to help answer our newer folks' questions, and to share their own personal tips on how to maximize the site's potential to earn for Disney. They may also have some Disney tips to share. If you'd like to sign up for this program, please email me at becky@quickrewards.net giving me permission to share your email address with one of our helpers and I will get you introduced to someone right away!

If our members don't reach out to us for help, we don't there's an issue! It's important to us that our members communicate with us, so we can look into the problem and see if there's something we need to fix on our end. Thank you for letting us know that you're having an issue and if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them on this post, in PMs, or -- the quickest way -- at the email address above.

I signed up when I saw the DIS recomendation and I quite like the program.

Normally I`m the type that considers trying to earn with this sort of program a waste of time but personally I think this one is a little different for the sole reason of the Disney gift cards. If you`re a Disney fanatic (like all of us out here) the inclusion of the cards means saving for some extra spending cash on vacation is easy and I don`t spend much time on it each day. The Disney gift cards are different because it`s something that I can`t just go put on a credit card day to day, a Disney trip for us is more of an event that happens when we can which makes it easier to save up rather than just getting impatient and going to buy the item you`re saving up for anyways.

I only signed up last Thursday, I merely make sure I complete maybe 1 or 2 surveys a day. This I`ve done just by clicking the links in my e-mails and if I happen to have spare time checking out the survey list on the site as well. I`ve probobly earned just over $5 already (once the update happens tonight) and by my calculations should have enough for a $100 gift card before our trip in February :) This is just from maybe 1/2 hour to an hour a day while I'm doing other things as well usually.

Yes you do a lot of clicking links that you don't qualify for and answering questions that lead to not qualifying but as long as you perservere and find that 1 survey a day it adds up quick. The quickpoints give you at least a little bit back for the failed attempts.

Definately looking forward to having a little extra spending cash on this trip coming up and in a few years once our son is old enough to understand money we'll be able to use the program to treat him and just give him a gift card to blow on whatever he wants.

The only question I haven't been able to find an answer to is how long the gift cards take to get to you... so I know when to order them (I did my $100 calculation based on the date of Jan 26... should be about 3 weeks before we leave)??

Overall though great idea... I'm putting it forth to my wife and a few other family members too.

Hi, I signed up a while back but never got my confirmation code (or whatever it is called ;)). Now I cannot log in - well it shows as logged in but I cannot go into my account since I do not have my password and the link to change/lost password has not worked for weeks. I did send an email but never received an answer.

Hi, Kronk N Tink! Thank you for the kind words about QuickRewards! I'm glad that you're enjoying the program! In response to your question: gift cards are mailed out once a week. To be sure you don't miss the weekly mailout, and because they're sent by USPS (and you know how THAT can be!), you may want to cash out two weeks in advance.

Hello, tzeitel! If you will email me directly at becky@quickrewards.net, I will manually confirm your account for you! I'm sorry that you didn't get a response to your earlier request for help -- sometimes our emails are misdelivered to spam folders -- but I will keep an eye out for your message and get you squared away immediately. Thanks for joining and I hope you enjoy our site!

Actually I'm in Canada so.... no I don't know how that can be.

Something tells me I better order them in early Jan... give them like 6 weeks that way.

LOL -- I guess you DON'T know! (Trust me, you're not missing anything.) We never hear any complaints about the Canadian mail system. Is it as unreliable as ours?

I would definitely give your cashout a little extra time since it's got to get across the border. Better safe than sorry, dontcha know.

Hi, DuchessOnWheels! Great question! Most of our gift cards ship for free -- including Disney, Rainforest Cafe, BP Gas, Burger King, and others!

However there are a couple (Target and Walmart) that we've been so far unable to find through a third party redemption center with free shipping, so we have to add on a 50 cent shipping/handling charge for these two.

Personally, I'd choose to be paid in PayPal instead and would withdraw the cash from my checking account, to either spend in-store or to buy these gift cards myself without the added fee... but I'm a tightwad like that. ;)

Thank you for asking about QR -- I hope you decide to give us a try and if you have any other questions, please let me know!
