Ending date for ToD?

I have been a fan of this parade since its beginning in October, 1999, and I have heard from a few different people that it'll be ending in February or March. Does anyone know what the exact ending date of ToD will be? Needless to say, I'm very disappointed that it's ending!

Disney is advertising that the 100 Year Celebration is extended to February 28, 2003.

Since ToD is part of that, I guess that's when it will end, at least in its current form.

It's possible they'll keep it and tweak it into something else, like they did to create it from ToN.

Have you looked at the Rumors board here? Maybe there's something about it there.

And while we're on the subject, I have to say that I LOVE that parade! I swear I could listen to its music all day, every day, and never get tired of hearing it.

You're like me, JerseyJanice - I could listen to the ToN and ToD soundtrack all day and not get tired of it! That's what I like best about the parade - the music.

Anyone know for sure the ending date?

The last time I was in WDW (August), I was talking to a ToD CM, and apparently they're looking to start a new parade next year that's a mix between ToN and ToD. I'm really anxious to see this!

Are there any WDW/Epcot CM's that could possibly help us out with the ending date for ToD?

(10/1/02) The latest rumor is that Tapestry of Nations may come back in a new form once Tapestry of Dreams goes down. The popular rumor right now is that the one set of parade equipment that will be cut from the show this month will be tweaked and reworked into new show elements. Another rumor says that many of the main Disney Characters will be involved in this replacement parade, each with a float that will tie in that character to a particular World Showcase Pavilion.

How cool would that parade be with floats? Wow!

Whatever they do, if they keep the same (or similar) music, I'll be happy.

I heard a similar rumor, Dan. Apparently, the Sage of Time will come back, only he will be riding on a float rather than walking the parade route. If this is true, this is great news!

I'm trying to plan a short trip to WDW and want to plan it around the ending of ToD. Anyone know?

A ToD CM said that ToD will be gone for good when the 100 YOM celebration is over (Feb 28th) The rest of the parades will continue on.

Debi, have you tried asking on the TPAS board? Seems to me that you've more chance of finding someone just back who might have some info over there than on the CB.
