Ending a marriage because of no attraction - Update pg 6

I never understood why zombie threads get certain people in such a dither. Just move on if they bother you.

Because those perfect people just love coming on the disboards to scold people for opening a 8 year old thread, meanwhile following it and commenting on everyone that answers it. Seems like they actually enjoy the zombie threads more then most of us.:hyper2:

I think for me it's just an issue of wasted effort/emotion. People open these years-old threads and will type out thoughtful and emotional responses when the OP isn't even a member of the board anymore. True, it's no skin off my back, but it's sending thoughts out into nothingness.

Someone needs to cut the head off this one -- this zombie just wont stay dead!

It is an interesting topic.

When I was younger, I worked with this couple who got together. She was 18, he was 20. They were together for at least a year. Then they broke up because she said, she was never really attracted to him. Felt bad for the guy because he was nice guy and probably very good to her. But to be honest, I wouldn't say he was "insert attractive celebrity.' I think the OP said something to the effect, new relationship but that could also be just for the first time, having someone interested in you.

OOOO00000. A Zombie thread.

7 out of 10 zombies said they have never seen an unattractive brain.
2 out of 10 zombies said when it's an unattractive brain, they close their eyes and think of a very tasty one when eating it.
One said we had attractive brains so we ended the survey and quickly left the area.

Due to cancer - my lips are paralyzed on one side. I drool when I sleep. I have large surgical scars on my neck.

Thankfully - my husband still loves ME - even though I look and talk differently.

Marry with your HEART!!!! If it FEELS right, it is!!!

I agree that people spend time typing out well thought out responses but sometimes these "zombie threads" are dredged up because someone searched for something specific that relates to them so I don't feel that it's wasted time. While the OP might not still be on the boards others may still benefit from what is said and will create a dialog between people in similar situations.

I like zombie threads because it changes the scenery a little if you know what I mean;)

I think they should stick around. For some reason, they come up as an ad on the bottom of my screen. If I think it is interesting, I click on it.
And the OP is still around. She posted today.

It's too bad that there isn't a way to "lock" a thread after a certain amount of inactivity. Having old threads around for reference is helpful, maybe they contain advice or something else that could be beneficial to others. When I see someone has resurrected one though I just leave it be, no harm no foul.

But you know, old threads are fun to read. With posters coming and going, it's sure to be "new" to someone. This thread is new to me.
