the end of the fiscal year is only a half of a month away. anyone hear anyrumors to the 8 dollar incentive are they going to keep it going? or are they going to have another promotion? any changes?

DW and I returned Sept 11 from most recent trip. We took the DVC tour, but are still debating purchasing or not. Our guide said that the $8pp discount was only available for 3 days after our vacation departure date. Anyone else heard this or was that a pressure tactic. We both want to buy, but want to wait a little while to get a better view of our overall financial picture (just refinanced our home). Does DVC always have some "incentive"? Anyone have any past examples? Any speculation on what they might offer in the future?

The three days thing is the limit for accepting the offer from the tour. In other words, it is a tour offering and expires if you don't take advantage of it in 3 days. All of the buying incentives in the past had this same limit. I do believe if you did not take the tour and wanted to buy sight unseen, you would not have had a time limit to the offer. Not realy sure about that, because it has been a long time since we bought, but I know that's what it was like when we first took the tour 9 years ago.

There was still a limit for us buying sight unseen in 2000, although the limit may have been on the financing offer. It was 30 days as I recall for whatever was limited.
