(OK, it's not very exciting, but I couldn't think of any other hook to get you here)
I have never written an official trip report, but Ive always enjoyed reading others and seeing their pics so I am giving this a shot. Im going to keep all the days under this one thread to make them easier to track. Hope they are helpful and entertaining enough not to lull you to sleep.

Maryann, 31 ~ Been to WDW more than I can count, Huge WDW Addict
Shannon, 36 ~ Has only visited for 1 whirlwind day last year, has become a huge WDW from afar
Transportation
Were driving from DFW area and leaving mid-day on Friday the 17th. Unfortunately this puts us in the Florida panhandle on Friday evening after Ivan, were going to kind of play things by ear regarding route and distance. I have made reservations in De Funiak Springs for that night but will confirm Friday with regards w/ Ivan. BTW - while searching for hotels for this night I was disgusted at the rates for those that were still available...$149 for Red Roof Inn?!? Come on, it's crappy that people take advantage of the weather situation. Off the soapbox now.
Resorts
Were spending the first three nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Pool View at the AP rate of $442 total.
The following four nights are at Riverside, standard view for the AP rate of $379.
* I am very happy with the rates offered by Disney. I had booked it using codes and paid the reservations in full, with the AP codes it left enough money on the account to pay for the refillable mugs at both resorts plus a few bucks left over. Besides, where else can you stay somewhere so great for seven nights for $821?!!
Eats
Im trying the vouchers for the first time this trip, the majority of which are the Quick & Casual. Im using the Breakfast vouchers for CRT & CP and have two lunch ones as well. (undecided but possibly World Showcase restaurants) I had Sci-Fi for one, but after the rash of cruddy reviews have decided to forego lunch and have dessert to check out the atmosphere. Sooo the only actual PS I have at this point are:
Afternoon Tea @ the GF
Breakfast @ Spoodles
Boma for Dinner
Castle for Breakfast
Crystal Palace for Breakfast
Luau @ the Poly might be on the cutting board for Cirque instead (also due to poor reviews)
The rest of the time is mostly counter service or last minute decisions and I'm sure we'll snack ourselves to death, I'll be sure to post reviews on all.
DIS Meetings :thewave:

If you're still around reading this you deserve a
! I want to try to see a lot of the little overlooked things this trip - things I've been too busy playing tour guide in the past to take time for. I bought a new digital camera and huge memory card last week so I'm hoping to take a bazillion pictures.
Hope everyone else heading out soon has a great trip and stay safe with the nutso weather!
