Hi all,
On embarkation day is there still an option other than Cabanas for lunch? Two years ago on the Fantasy I was able to have a buffet at Enchanted Garden.

Yes, you still have the option of the other buffet table service. Although from what I'm told, the CMs will gently try to usher guests towards Cabanas, but you can go where you prefer.

It is not listed in the Navigator but there is also a sit down option for Concierge guest. It is offered in Tiana’s and Rapunzel’s on the classic ships. I don’t know where it is on the Dream-class ships.

Thanks for he menu pic...but unfortunately we are will not be doing concierge this time.:)

I don't think we got a photo of the sit-down lunch menu last year but I recall most of what is on the concierge menu being on it. I'm sure there are some differences to make the concierge experience more concierge but it's very similar. The only thing I know I don't recognize is the poached lobster entree or the warm molten pot dessert. The appetizers and soups look the same.

Yeah it looks similar to any delicious lunch menu we've had at a dining room. Thanks!

Yes, thanks for confirming. It has been a little while since the last time we did the non-Cabanas lunch but I thought the menus were similar. The real difference is they have one of the concierge hosts there to do the review that would normally take place in the lounge along with one of the concierge bartenders for drink orders.

If that's true that they stopped the buffet service at EG, then that's might be a good thing. The buffet at EG was horrible the one time we tried it, it was a long line to the buffet line since it's not set up like Cabanas is with multiple stations. It was a nightmare.

The biggest problem I see with changing the buffet service in the MDR to table service is that it forces even more people into the masses at Cabanas. Many people don't want to waste over an hour getting lunch on embarkation day.

On those occasions that we did the buffet in the MDR, I found the food to be on par with what's served at Cabanas, but more limited.

Table service lunch was in place late 2016 on the Wonder. We were on the Dec 30th sailing, and it had been in place at least long enough that I knew to go there for it and had already seen a menu posted. (Food restrictions, so it's easier for my family.) No one pointed you toward it, though. Fast forward to June this year, same ship, and they most definitely pointed it out when boarded. It was far busier in there. I guess that could differ ship to ship still, but it was something I noted. FWIW, I didn't think it was a time suck. We ordered, and then I ducked out to the Promenade Lounge next door to book tastings and check on table requests. We also get connected on the app while we wait in between courses.
