we are on the British Isles cruise in sept and today we got on email that the port we are docking in was changed

we were supposed to dock in Ringaskiddy (cork)
but now it seems to be were docking in Cork yet the tours seem to be the same just the code to book is slightly different

just wondering what the difference is with Cork being in parenthesis and now docking there are these 2 different cities

so basically instead of docking in Ringaskiddy were docking in Cork

Better to dock directly in Cork, probably. Less transportation time to excursions, especially if they're in or near the city. It'll be easier to explore the city itself, too.

Are you sure it's Cork, though? Not Cobh? I think only smaller ships can dock directly in Cork. From Cobh, you take the train from the port into the center of Cork. It's still closer than Ringaskiddy and you don't have to take the ferry.

I believe we are docking in Cohb. That seems even better for the Titanic Walking Tour.

sorry about that yes it is Cobh for some reason I was thinking they were the same place just different spelling
so were planning on taking the blarney castle tour so since were docking in Cobh we take a train then to the castle

both tours are still listed on the DCL website that is Ringaskiddy and Cobh the only difference is the tour numbers changed slightly

the rest of the discription is the same for both tours thanks for explaining this though
