El Guitar (updated with new vid by DarkwingDuck)

Its strange how people form KISS tributes them just drop them...me and my friends did the exact same haha.

I'm learning HIZAKI grace project's "Race Wish", but I can't get past the intro for some strange reason (I think its because I'm not used to playing solo's so its a new concept I'm yet to grasp haha).

I'm also starting work on a demo that I plan to spend alot of time on (its more like a side thing really) of mainly just guitar and keyboard (get abit of my love of classical out  haha)

Yeah the reason we dropped it was because we thought we could get more people to come to our shows because they would like a variety and not just KISS. We're gonna pick it back up when we're older though :D

ah thats awesome :-D. Yeah and it sort of limits your audience aswell, Where I'm from the fans of KISS aren't many...at my school there was 3 haha (and only 2 of us were really into them). Yeah a variety would bring a wider range of people :-D.

I don't know why but I have an urge to work out the song "Reflection" from Mulan and re-write it into a style my band plays...as that song does holds some similarity with the concept of the band...I know there'll be a guitar solo...I think I shall work on this idea haha.

Im going to be putting my cover of About A Girl by The Academy Is... on here soon. Its going to have my own little twist on it too.

lol, this thread keeps me coming back here.. anywhooo, lemme know when you put that vid up tom.. i shall put it in the first post

haha most definitely, you were there from the start.. ill probably post more and make more videos during the summer... cant do much now... molecular biology and organic chemistry 2 are currently running my life haha

I'm surprised a guitar thread would ever stop being popular for posting (my subtle little bump here haha).

I'm getting to record music for a band yay, strange way of getting motivated though haha (a single candle and an incense stick (and currently the glow from the computer). Though its not a style everyone likes (if anyone does haha (sort of Nico-inspired stuff)) I'll post a link since most of it will be guitar based :) (though I rarely ever show any music I do, never understood why:confused3).

idk if any of you like rage agaisnt the machine, but i just learned how to scratch solo like tom in the song bulls on parade.

video soon..

i recorded bulls on parade in a music mixer on my computer.

no i dont play drums, i used a beat maker. and i recorded the 3 guitar parts separatly obviously.. lol.

the solo is pretty bad, i must admit. i can play it better. but i just wanted to throw a song together cause it makes you feel really accomplished when you hear a song come together like this.

i only wish i could sing... but maybe someday.

if people like it i will make more, maybe even do requests someday.

well heres the link.

That was pretty good...you can kind of tell it was a beat maker but still really good. I'm going to put up my cover soon of About A Girl and maybe some others too.

has anybody heard the cover that Seether recently did of the Wham song Careless Whisper? The radio station I listen to plays all the time now

I recently recorded the very rough and still in devolpment song for my solo project's new demo. The song is in a dreadful state at the moment, but the demo isn't being released until September 2010 at the earliest so theres lots of time for me to re-write and edit it into something that could even pass as being "It's ok" haha. There's also keyboards and all that stuff (drums, bass) to be added still too.

(wow first time in 3 years since I've actually released something of me actually playing guitar too! haha - as you can tell I'm a really awful guitarist which explains why haha)

Bumping thread again.. I just got an Epiphone Custum shop 1966 reissue Sg. I will post some pictures of it soon, it's awesome. It plays and feels like a Gibson, Epiphone did an awesome job making it.

I've been listening to a lot of Dave Matthews Band Lately... You guys should check it out he's a really good guitar player.

I saw him in concert April 15...im going to see him again at MSG for Pete Seger's birthday...i think...all i know its someone birthday this sunday. I might see him again this summer at Hershey because Jason Mraz is opening too
