HI,

The HDDR is at Fort Wilderness, not Wilderness Lodge, they are 2 different places. So to get from MK to FW the boats are generally ECV friendly. From WL to MK two different size boats usually work the route, the larger one is the same as the ones on the FW/MK route, so everyother boat from WL/MK is ECV friendly. There are no buses from FW to MK so the boat is your only direct option.

Thanks, so it looks like we will have no trouble going to HDDR from MK.

Do you know how late the boats go to get back to MK? We have 9:30 ADR's and need to get back to Coronado spring after dinner.

Boats will run till about 1 hour after the MK closes. After the late shows they do provide bus service back to the resorts, so even if MK is closed you will be fine. Several resorts will share a bus so be sure to check and double check with bus CMs before boarding a bus.

one thing to know about Hoop Dee Doo is wheelchairs/scooters enter thru Trails End. from what i remember buses to resorts at bus stop after 9:30 show. bus was very dark from what i remember. boats might be running but be ready to bus. also no car parking at Hoop Dee Doo. would have to take campground bus to other end. would not advise that idea. on boat you will not be with rest of your party and you have to stay with your scooter.

So, if you can handle shorts walks, is there somewhere to leave the schooter parked to ride the boat over?

Not that I can think of without Disney Security moving it. The boat launch to FW & WL is directly in front of MK so there are always a lot of people moving about the area. They would likely be concerned about an ECV being left unattended in that area for a long period of time. As long as you get on one of the bigger boats then you should be able to take the EVC.

Also, depending on mobility and what someone considers a short walk, it could still be quite a ways from the marina to Pioneer Hall for HDDR. I know without assistance, my sister right now, would be able to make it, but she would still have to stop between the two for a rest. I'm not good at referencing distances, but I would estimate the distance to be about 100 meters (approximately a football field) from where you step off the boat to the entrance of Pioneer Hall.

:confused3 Since when? You can get a bus from MK to Fort Wilderness and it will drop you off at the Outpost Depot - from there the OP can take an internal FW bus down to the Settlement Depot - they would need to use their ECV from there to Pioneer Hall. Boats are not the only option.

Sorry, I forgot that the added a bus to Outpost about a year ago. Unfortunatly because it goes to Outpost not Settlement it is still inconvenient for an ECV to use the route to HDDR. If you don't mind the transfer of buses though you would be better off going to WL (by bus) and then catching the bus to Settlement from there, it would be two short bus trips instead of two longer ones. The distance from the bus stop at FW to HDDR and the distance from the boat at FW to HDDR are almost the same, the bus is SLIGHTLY shorter.
