EBPC December 9, 2012!!! PART 2

Hi Everyone!

I am completely out of the loop as I haven't been following the thread in a while. What pertinent facts should I know, any scheduled meets that I need to my calendar?
ScreenHunter_04Nov291504.jpg

I made this calendar for me to use while on the cruise. Maybe it will help? It is still a work in progress so I will update another image once it is done

I ran up to the outlets outside of Houston this morning and I ran into the Disney Store. I picked up some great bargains. I also picked up a scrapbook kit from Disneyland. I am not a scrapbooker but I thought I would bring it to your scrapbook meet so those of you who went to Disneyland before the cruise could share the kit. :santa: Sherry

Another fan here for Malibu Rum! But I add mine to pineapple juice...make it a fuity drink for me.
That's my drink of choice as well - although I drink very little alcohol and actually just prefers ice tea and classic Coke.

Does anyone need an over-the-door shoe organizer for their stateroom? I bought one for our last cruise and never used it. Would love to get rid of it and I'm too cheap to throw it away.
We'd love one! We bought a nice shoe organizer for the cruise last year and but have packed it away so well that it's never been found again...

I have a similar calendar to the one a pp posted above. I pulled it from the regular Disney website - you can pick your character. I printed one for each of the kids and wrote out the important days for them.

We call it the Peoples Republic of Pennsylvania! We are always a little suprised when we travel out of state, go to a grocery store ,round the corner and see beer and wine.
Oh yes and I do like Malibu but prefer Parrot Bay. I will def have some with me. But to me it isn't a cruise unless I have some Baileys in the room to add to my morning room service coffee. Its the little things......

I remember the first time I went to Colorado and we couldn't buy alcohol on Sunday. I didn't understand why we didn't just go to the grocery store. When we went the next day I was again surprised that you had to go to a "Liquor Store" to buy liquor and that the beer in the grocery store was different than the beer in a liquor store. So the experts in those areas just make sure they have plenty on stock so it's never an issue.

On the topic of Rum (and by the way; "Why is the rum gone?" Looks like because everyone on the Wonder drank it. :rotfl:) My rum of choice is Cruzan Rum. They have the best flavors and my favorite is Black Cherry. I can mix it with Sprite, Coke, Dr. Pepper or even by itself. It makes the best jello shooters when you use black cherry jello. I'm ready for a drink. It maybe 1:00 in California but it's 5:00 somewhere! :drinking1

Very nice calendar. Sometimes the best things are the simple things. I use TripIt on the web. It syncs my calendar with my phone, Gmail, and work.

OK, so I think there was general agreement that it would be good to have a little game associated with the stateroom crawl. I've thought about several things that have pros/cons associated with them. What I think would work and be simple would be to have a prize(s) in each stateroom. Ahead of time, a particular number is assigned to each prize and that is displayed with the prize in the stateroom. At the start, crawl participants are given slips of paper with a number written on it and they compare their paper to what is on the prize as they do the tour. If they match, they win the prize and take it with them.

Sound simple enough?

Susan and I bought some NASA items in our Center gift shop that we will bring as prizes. If others would like to bring something too, that would be appreciated. Just let me know (post/PM/email).

I have one extremely happy 11 yr old at the moment, as I just managed to secure 4 tickets to a One Direction concert that sold out in minutes. Don't know how I managed to score some tickets, but with this kind of luck I'm thinking I should go out and buy myself a lottery ticket!:yay:

I am going to have some very jealous twins when they find this out!! Now One Direction is really all they will talk about! Congrats!!

I'll try to remember to bring it to the meet and greet. I'll be wearing a bright green shirt.:thumbsup2

Aren't you nice?! Our potential meet ups are listed on the cruise website and I have another one to add.

And my poor husband bought beer in the grocery store in Minneapolis - got it to the motel and popped one open - it was three two, which is apparently like water.

A little too hard to read on screen, but this is great! I always do one for Disney trips, but not for a cruise, but we have sooo much to remember. I would love if you could email it. I can copy stuff to make my own. It helps us on trips to have our dinner times and reservation numbers. It will come in handy, great idea!

I will look to see if I have any Radio Disney stuff laying around the house.

How odd. Just clicked on this one, which had been sold out, and now it is showing availability. What's really odd is that it gives me the option to two times: 9:15 am or 10:45 am. Our itinerary, at least the last time I checked, had us going ashore at 10:30 am. How do we make a 9:15 am excursion unless they're planning on arriving early.

WOOOOO HOOOOOO! I got in on the zip line in PV. Thanks for the heads up Jeff! I had given up hope. This is one of the reasons I lost the weight. My DD loves to zip line and I have always been over the weight limit. Not anymore. The stars have been aligned. Actually, isn't that really supposed to happen while we are at sea? Planetary alignment? Again, thanks for the heads up.

I called DCL today and received the following info:

1) Ship departure from Port of LA is 5 pm local time. With Guests all aboard time of 4 pm, that tells me the Muster Drill will likely be at 4 pm so they can get it over and people can get ready for the sail away at 5 pm. Given that, I think it'd be good to move the Meet & Greet start time to 2:30 pm. Folks can obviously come and go as they see fit. Susan and I will be boarding early, eating lunch and then we'll head down to the Promenade Lounge as soon as we are able to drop off our carry-ons in our stateroom.

2) Puerto Vallarta - the Canopy Tour start time made me scratch my head so I asked what our arrival time was projected to be - it's 9 am. Given we pull right alongside the port and hop off, it all makes sense now. I would guess we have the all clear to go ashore by 9:15 am.

Jeff, YOU da MAN! for getting answers!

In my experience, Muster drill is always at 4 pm. They'll start announcing at about 3:30.

We do have extra FE gifts we can use. How many do I need to bring?

We witnessed the Muster Drill last Sunday, and it started promptly at 4:00pm. 2:30pm sounds great - what time is the usual time one can drop off carry-ons in our staterooms?

Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of...hey, who drank all the rum??? :lmao:

1. Good idea to move the M&G to 2:30. There's going to be a lot of people getting name tags, updating the FE list and just greeting. I'm good with 2:30.

Yep, the Muster Drill was 4 sharp. The rooms were ready at 2:00 p.m.

Yep and baggage shows up at 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8PM. :confused3

I am going for my last blood donation tonight!

I donated blood last week after the 1 year wait after my last Cozumel visit. But they told me that Cozomel is off the bad list (I think it was malaria) and now no restrictions on donating blood after visiting. Are any of our other Mexican ports on the bad list? Or Columbia?:confused3
