basketball season is pretty much over, all but the play-offs, so it's time to get back to this. Plus, so far today we have gotten between 24-30 inches of snow so really what else am I going to do other than meal plan?

tonight: onion and mushroom pork roast in the slow cooker with mashed potatoes and I have some rosemary bread dough rising.
tomorrow: breakfast for dinner, pancakes, bacon and fruit
wednesday: slow cooker chili and cornbread
and then I'm not really sure of the order, but meal ideas based on what I grabbed at the store:

  • baked beans, kielbasa and quick apple cinnamon bread
  • cheeseburgers with tater-tots and a fruit
  • oven-baked chicken tenders, mac n' cheese, and I'm not sure what else.

half-baked ideas for the future that I don't want to forget:

  • slow-cooker Hawaiian chicken, jasmine rice
  • stuffed shells, tossed salad, garlic bread
  • slow-cooker brown-sugar and garlic chicken, stuffing, ....
  • baked haddock with ritz cracker topping, roasted veggies, cous-cous
  • teriyaki beef stir-fry with fresh pineapple

We're clearing the freezer and pantry this week!

Mon: Taco salad

Monday- chili and cornbread
Tuesday- lasagna and garlic bread
Wednesday- leftover chili
Thursday- grilled cheese and tomato soup
Friday- pork chops, veggies and rice
Saturday- egg roll bowls

I've managed this menu with only needing to buy canned tomatoes and tomato sauce for the chili and bread and cheese for sandwiches.

The past few weeks I've been trying to use up everything and buy very little. Our menu has been a tad boring from it, but not so bad as we will have more money for Disney next month!

Today I'm making jello with fruit and banana bread for sweets.

Sun (off)- chicken wraps (to use up some leftover chicken and veggies)
Mon (7-5)- beef paprikash in the crock pot
Tue (1-10)- sticky pork with peas and rice
Wed (8-5)- grilled chicken sandwiches with fruit
Thu (off)- Greek style burgers with veggies
Fri (8-5)- beef tostadas

Sun - we're having fabulous weather so DH broke out the smoker and is making smoked sausage and brats. We're also having shells and cheese and cucumber salad
Mon - homemade chicken tenders and buttered parm noodles
Tues - taco Tuesday!
Wed - honey garlic chicken thighs and rice (didn't make last week...again)
Thurs - hamburgers and baked beans
Fri - not sure but we're off work so I'll cook
Sat - out for Chinese since DD is playing basketball close to my favorite place that is across town. We'll catch the end of lunch so it will be cheaper too!!
