Just booked this yesterday!!! So excited! Especially because we were going to do a 4- night on the Dream, but upgraded to the Fantasy!
It will be me, DH, DS 11, DD 9 and DS 7 (ages as of next year).
Looking forward to reading through this thread as this is our FIRST Disney cruise!!! We are clueless...which is a strange feeling for us since we could walk around WDW blindfolded (we've been there 9 times!).

OOOPS, it's Eric. I used a wrong log-in - senior moment

We're having a holiday today: Reunification Day. Unfortunately Anja had to work the nighshift and we kind of lost that holiday. But fortunately I was able to take work home for tomorrow, did it today and so both of us will have the holiday tomorrow

We'll either drive to Ikea, have breakfast there and shop for a desk chair or we go to the gym before breakfast and work out for an hour or so.

We also made a preliminary plan for the cruise:
We now plan to fly to Tampa on 9/28/13. Then it's going to be a week at Treasure Island on the Gulf Coast. From there we'll drive our rental car to the Hertz station in Cape Canaveral, which offers a free shuttle service to the Port.
After the cruise we'll use the shuttle again, pick up another car and drive up north to Panama City Beach to spend another week on the beach. We'd then fly back from there.

OOPS I am 2 days late with this post

We officially have less than 1 year to go

Now we can start our monthly countdown

It is time to get excited.

Oh yeah, I did not know this when we talked about dedicating our cruise to cancer survivors and cancer support....October is Breast Cancer awareness month...:debswalk:

So, as a neat bonus, I am going to post some football / cancer ribbon pics on our group page. Our football field was all decked out for homecoming in support of Cancer Awareness this week. Stop by and take a look and let me know what you think about my Super Star #4...better know to the Team as 'the Rock' (not after the Rock on the Toothfairy...that is what I was thinking...but after the Thing on the Fantastic 4)

Anja had her 2013 vacation conference at work today and I had my present boss and my future boss give me their consent for our spring vacation. So when we got home I called our travel agency and booked two weeks at Club Aldiana on the Island of Fuerteventura.
That's a club similar to Club Med. It's basically a small village for about 400 to 600 guests. We'll stay in a nice little bungalow. Food and drink is all inclusive. They have a different theme for dinner each night and a formal night on Friday followed by a huge fireworks display. There's also a show every night, i.e. a musical, a play, a game show, etc. Additionally they have a live band.
Their sports program is fabulous: We usually do three classes every day, i.e. Zumba, The Pump, Step Aerobics, T-Bow, etc.
You can also do scuba diving, windsurfing, kite surfing and kat sailing.
And they have a wonderful spa, where we usually leave a lot of money for massages.
The club is situated on a cliff right above the beach and about a mile from a nice little town.
The island is one of the Canary Islands, which politically belong to Spain, but are located in the Atlantic Ocean west of Morocco on about the same latitude as Central Florida.
And the best: We paid exactly the same we paid this year in April. We'll be there from 4/20 til 5/4/13, our seats on both flights are already reserved.

Yup,
it's gonna be our fourth trip to that island and our third stay at that club. We've also been twice to another one of those clubs in the vicinity of Tatooine - no kidding: That club is in Tunisia, not far from the place where Star Wars was filmed.
We always have to work out there, because otherwise we'd be several pounds heavier upon our return. The food is great there. We mostly stick to seafood for entrees, but the dessert buffet is the killer

I'm joining everyone else on this sailing! This will be my 6th Disney cruise (First for the newer ships). I have always sailed every October on the Magic, but had to give up this year. But I'm so happy to be booked again! I'll be dragging one of my co-workers with me who has never been outside the US, and only been to the beach once. So, I'm hoping this will be a very special experience for my friend!

I'm going to ask if we have a logo yet, and what post I can find it, if we have one.

I'll be back on more after catching up on here a bit!

Greetings!! My family just signed up to go on this cruise (we were previously booked for May 2013 but had to push it back). I can't wait to be back on the Fantasy!!

As of now it myself (26 at sail date), my mother Carol , and my sister Teresa (11 at sail date) - there is going to be a fourth, but the debate is still ongoing as to who it's going to be.

Hey Everyone!

My husband and I just got off the Dream last week and got booked for this cruise on the Fantasy this afternoon WE ARE SO EXCITED!!! We are in our 20s so no kids quite yet... it will just be the two of us!!

We did the FE on this last cruise and had SO much fun with it!!

two questions:

1. Is there an FE sign up list started yet? If not, I'll be happy to take on the challenge of organizing that!!

2. is there any Facebook group started yet for our sail date?!? For this last cruise I created a Facebook group for people to talk there since I use that more than the boards here and it was a great success!! I don't mind doing that again!!

Just a little less than a year away!!
I look forward to talking to you all soon!

We are very excited to add ourselves to this group! We booked this cruise on board the Dream last week...very excited for my "Fantasy....". We would love to participate in our first FE. Guests include Me, my DH and DD age 13 at sailing. We look forward to the anticipation and arrival date of this next adventure.

Welcome to our group.
The majority of us decided against using Facebook several months ago. It is not advisable to post vacation plans on Facebook. Real names + real location + publicly displayed time of absence = invitation for criminals to rob your home.

I can understand that. The last cruise we went on I made the group totally private through facebook. You couldn't find the group unless I gave you the link to it and even then you still had to request to join it. It worked out real well. Sounds exactly like the yahoo group. I'm not that familiar at all with yahoo groups but if that's what everyone decided on then it works for me!

I'm excited to get to know everyone!
