Earrings On Old Men

What about a tattoo of a miniskirt? Or if you're really, really daring - a tattooed miniskirt? Nah, forget that one. Even I'm not that open-minded :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Actually I promised myself a tattoo as a reward for running a marathon, just haven't gotten around to it (the tattoo, the marathon is done LOL) yet. It will be on the outside of the leg at about knee level. So it will only show if I'm dressed for running or, yes, in a short skirt. ;)

Like in their 60's and 70's.
No poll, just seeing Morgan Freeman on the Today Show and thought I'd ask.
Comments?
A turnoff?
Cool?
Case by case basis?

case by case basis. I met a 60 year old British gentlemen this summer who had his ear pierced. He was drop dead gorgeous. ;)

The beauty of getting old is you can do whatever you want and not give a crap whether or not somebody is "turned on" by it. ;)

And creepy????? really??????? :confused3

My thoughts exactly. And when is 60's and 70's "old"? If someone likes it, go for it.

I am a bit outraged myself. I wonder if any of those "creepy, old and disgusting" individuals might be reading some of these comments?

I think we may have an "age" gap here.

Remember when you were young and you use to think 45 was so old. then when you hit 30, 45 was looking not old at all.

At my age, 60 is definitely not "creepy" or "old"

Okay, I stopped at CVS today. It's in the same strip mall as the salon my mom used to go to when I was in high school, mm-mm years ago. The owner was outside. He's in his sixties now; he had a gray ponytail and was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. I couldn't see any piercings from where I was - but he looked gooooooooooooooood!

You should ask him to show you his tattoos! :woohoo:

As long as I don't have to date them they can wear what they want. Not a fan of guys wearing jewelry or hats inside.

Disneyadore, thank you for your input, very interesting, never knew that. I don't like earings on young or old men. I sure MF feel hip and younger with his earring.

It is! I'm ok with people saying men with earrings aren't their preference. To each their own. There is a lot of judgement and assumption going on here about men's outward appearance though. If the tables were turned women would be outraged at some of the stuff being said.
Like...:
  • wasting significant time each and every day messing with their hair—to the point that some women actually choose to lose sleep in order to get up early enough
  • spending a sizeable fraction of their income on chemicals to paint their faces with on a daily basis (and often requiring so much space to store that their bathrooms have virtually no actual free space), and then removing it each and every day
  • shaving large swaths of naturally occurring body hair—or removing it with harsh chemicals or medieval torture-like devices/techniques
  • using obnoxiously overpowering "scents" in each and every product they own, from soap to detergent to candles to lotions to blahblahblah... (and then complain, "oh, my skin is so sensitive" —hrm, wonder why...?)
  • having so many pointless accoutrements that special furniture is required to store it all
And y'all are complaining about a simple piece of jewelry on a man?
:lmao:

:confused3 we could complain about more stuff if it makes you feel better?

I was trying to be tactful ;). Really, I'm outraged and offended by much of what's being said in this thread. "Creepy"? "Old"? "Disgusting"?

I agree. I wonder how many posters would be fine with with someone saying overweight folks are creepy and disgusting. Not many I bet. I'd go so far as to saying that I would prefer a guy with an earring, tattoo, and ponytail then someone very overweight. ;)

How about an 'old', overweight guy with earrings and a ponytail?

Anybody know if Penn Gillette has pierced ears? :rotfl2:
