EARLY ROLL CALL....September 18, 2005 on Disney's Wonder (4 day cruise)

I can't believe we are almost at the 6 month mark! It will be time to go before you know it! When are you all arriving? I don't recall if you will be doing WDW before or after the cruise, if at all?

That would be great!!! I hated for my parents to shell out the full amount for a room, so that is nice that they can share the price with you guys! We can PM each other with the details as it gets closer. I've been reading on this board that last sept going rate was $150/room. Lets hope its similar this time. I've also read that sometimes you go to front desk and they'll tell you no rooms available, but then if you go over to one of the tower desks, they'll have rooms. And, if for some unforseen reason they are truly sold out, I guess we'll just hang and do whatever we can for free, and try to get around and to the beach or something. ha ha.

We should be coming in on sat (haven't booked air yet, so maybe friday depending on price) and then over to Ron Jons. We'd like some pool time there, so if I can't get good flight times on sat, we'll do a late flight fri night and airport hotel it, and then over to the cape sat morning for a full day at Ron Jons! After the cruise, we plan on heading over to WDW, but only for 2 days. Since the kids will only be 5 and 3, we're just going to do a lazy day at the volcano pool at the poly the day we get there....and then go to MK on Friday with a 1 day pass. Crossing our fingers for a Cindy's Castle ressie....DU has that on their list to do for us! Then, head home on Saturday, so we can rest a day before going back to the grindstone on monday. YUCK! ha ha.

Did u get any pics uploaded from Jan cruise? I would love too see them! And did you notice we are almost to post #100????

Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera. :sad2: But, my anniversary is coming up in April. So, hopefully. :rolleyes1 We'll see. Put a bug in DH's ear. LOL. I've been sooo busy that I FINALLY just brought my pics to Walmart today to get developed! How sad is that!?

I can beat you. I have gotten so use to having a digicam, that I still havent taken in my underwater cameras from LAST sept WONDER cruise to be developed!!!

It is sad really! LOL I need to get them in for printing, but it just seems like it has gotten so expensive to develop pictures!

Yeah, I brought in 4 rolls and 2 underwater cameras. After the 4th one, I realized I'd marked double prints on all of them. I had to fish them out of the bin, mark it out and wrote singles only! I hope they get it cuz I didn't want to fill the whole thing out all over again. LOL

Well I would love to stay and chat but I gotta meet a friend for dinner and a movie this evening. We are going to see Hithc.

:disrocks:Greetings from Texas. My wife and I will be joing you on the September 18 cruise. We booked through DU and have been assigned room 6585. This will be our first cruise and we are taking it in celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary. We vacationed at WDW for our 10th, I guess for our 20th we have to do the land and sea package (our 25th is planned for Sicily/Italy/France.)

We are both 35 and we have 3 children. We are looking forward to a vacation of our own, although a cruise is hardly the place to be on your own, but we are really looking forward to the cruise.

If there are any cruise vets that would like to share info, please feel free to contact us.

Our only concern is the possibilty of a hurricane repeat of last year.

Looking forward to further communications!

Cody pirate: and Jennie princess: Shaw

Welcome aboard Shaws! We too, are leaving the riffaraff at home for this one! LOL It is amazing to actually have a few days to be Amanda and Steve again, instead of Mommy and Daddy.

Nice to meet ya Cody & Jennie! We're 36 & 37, and just married 14 years! Only 2 kids though. It is nice to go without the kids, which we just did in January, but I think we went toooo long. 11 Days total! Split between the grandparents. Luckily they live in the same town, but it took several days before the kids stopped calling us grandma and grandpa and be mom & dad again! ha. ha.

Monday my son will be 3! I can hardly believe it! We watched the Disneyworld DVD tonight, and the kids are really getting excited. I can definitely see that although this one will only be a short trip to WDW after the cruise, we ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GO BACK! ha. ha.

Hi Everyone! We're officially joining your thread too. We booked this past week. It's a 'sisters-only' trip. Four sisters (in their 30's) traveling without husbands and children. This is my 3rd DCL cruise and my sister's first. Looking forward to it :flower:
Laura

Woohoo! Laurarn! Our group is slowly growing! Can you believe we have less than 7 months!!

Welcome, I'll bet that this will be a great trip. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters (all in our 30's) and although I would love to take a trip with them, I'm not sure if that would ever happen. Too many kids between all of us and we all live in different states. Who knows maybe one day.

Welcome Laura! That is great that you are doing a sisters trip! I think girl trips are becoming more common. I mean, for us women, is it really a vacation if we've got the kids and DH in tow? ha. ha. LOL! So, DH & I try to take 1 us vacation a year, and then do 1 for the kids. And, I always have a girls weekend or two, so does DH. It helps with the sanity factor! ha. ha.

I love to take girls weekend trips also! Except my old "GOFRIEND" just got married, and now I have no one to go with! LOL My lovely DH did take me away on a surprise trip last weekend. He had arranged for the kids to be taken care of, (quite a task with 4 kids) and he took me tp Biloxi. It was much needed and I enjoyed it ever so much!

Sorry ladies but I have to celebrate the fact that we got 100 posts!!!:cool1:  :dancer: :dancer:
