I have to wonder what MNSSHP will cost now... unless prices popped up overnight - but I'm scared to look.

If this is true, let's see, valid park admission, $124 then $69. I guess the new Disney park in China is going to cost us at WDW and DLR to suffer. This may be the end of Walt's true dream. 3 years of record breaking crowds at WDW. Price increases every year and now ideas to rob, I mean add a way for non resort guests to enjoy a few hrs with lighter crowds at a cost way higher then when the daily ticket price is.

If you subtract the price for breakfast you could say that you are getting 1 hour of park time for $50. This is the same as After Hours thing. So Disney is valuing park time at $50 an hour?

I would be scared for the parties this year if this logic holds.

My only concern about this is how it'll effect rope drop for those that haven't paid for this. Now instead of getting to fanastyland early in the morning to avoid the long lines, there will already be long lines at park opening.

I wouldn't pay it, but I'm not going to get into a debate about disney charging it, I just see the negative effect on normal guests getting to the park early.

I can't tell you how many times we've been at the park at rope drop and knocked out fantasyland pretty quickly and were able to move on to other areas of the park.

I still want to see how this works as the details say you have access to those three rides from 7:45 to 10am, but then that the park opens to regular guests at 9am .... so then what special do you have from 9-10? Otherwise it is really just from 7:45 to 9am and that is a lot for that one hour

I always go to CP for an early morning breakfast to get my Pic in front of the castle and of course need my Tigger Photo (Love that bouncy ball of brilliance) so wouldn't probably use this event, but I can see it's appeal especially if you've got young kids and are up anyway, get on some of the rides and some brekkie before the main crowd get in.

The way I see it, which might appeal to some, is that you could do the Fantasy land 3 rides then you could walk over to another another ride or line up for a character at the 9 am opening and still have your 3 FP+ choices.

Which means on a busy day you could do 7 things by-passing the big lines and you get some food thrown in.

The real problem will be when you have early EMH 2 days a week, and possibly these paid EMH's 3 days a week. Then everyone who avoids those 5 mornings all show up on the only 2 where you have a decent RD experience. Then those 2 RD mornings that are not hindered by these offerings obviously become more crowded as everyone is trying to avoid the EMH's.....It may be a no win for the traditional RD. That would upset me. I guess it would add value to the $129/night double bed......

I do not post open, but the AM and PM 'packages' are just adding to my Disney desire continuing to fall. DVC member for 15 years now, we had been on a schedule of every 12-18 months. We took our last trip right before FP+ arrived on the scene. Last year we made the decision to rent our DVC points and go to Europe for 2 weeks. In all honesty, it cost us less than a typical trip to WDW.
In the past years my Disney desire has fallen almost to the point where I (we) just do not want to go. FP+ has changed the way you must navigate the parks. It is not my cup of tea. Now, hard tickets for early/late hours. Definitely not my cup of tea. I cannot help but to think are these extra hours that are being charged for caused in part by FP+. I am not trying to start a war and this is not 1st person experience but based on many conversations here the guest experience has declined at WDW in recent years. You can wake up at midnight to make your 3 FP+ reservations, wait on arguably longer lines for standby, wait in lines for additional FP+ reservations. To me, that is a ton of stress and waiting which is not what I want on vacation. But now WAIT - for additional $$$$ you can access the park when it is less crowded and there are not FP+/standby lines to manage.
Seems like Disney has created a 'need' for additional hard ticket hours. Brilliant, yes. Will people pay, of course.

I feel bad for my youngest - he desperately wants to go back to WDW. I cannot see ourselves enjoying WDW as much as we have in the past. For us, renting our DVC points and going elsewhere is more appealing.

No, they have not said. I assume if its successful, though, why would they limit it? The problem I present may not even take place for another year. Maybe not at all. But if the scenario that I present does happen, I would be upset.

I agree! We are DL vets and making our first trip to DW in 3.5 weeks. Both of our days at MK I worked hard to get BOG ADRs pre-opening, and this could really mess us up!

Side 1: What are they smoking with these things, are people really going to pay those prices? $69 to ride 3 rides for an hour? That's completely nuts. No way I would ever do it.

Side 2: I just don't get why people are freaking out about these things. If you don't do it, it should have NO effect on you.
#1: They do NOT mean the end of EMH. In both the case of the Extra evening and extra morning ticket - they are in ADDITION to EMH. They only do morning and evening EMH once a week in MK. There are plenty of other days to schedule this event. Much like the old E-ticket evenings, which of course were much cheaper but were a paid event. There NO reason to assume it's the end of EMH. They use EMH to drive people to stay on site, they will not take it away.
#2: They aren't taking away hours from regular paying customers. These are EXTRA hours, both on the evenings (after 10 or 11 PM) and mornings (before 9 AM).
They haven't done the rope drop morning show on EMH mornings in ages. In this case, they will probably continue to do it at the regular time even on these mornings - its no different from the people coming for ADRS.

I already pay $22pp for Prepark BOG so we can ride mine train without fastpass+. I'd pay $69 at least once for a better breakfast and a hour to ride and reride mine train and PP.

It seems like a way to better and more reliably monetize and set expectations for those pre-park openings. As a previous poster said, if you go to BoG for example and get the one cupcake and one coffee for a family of 4 and then book it to the mine train, you may find that they won't let you ride without the sticker. I'd rather that there be clear set rules and guidelines in place instead of just making it up as they go along. Personally, I don't see myself paying it especially for those rides. But there's apparently a decent contigent of people who must do the mine train and whatever else without waiting. They're just taking money people are willing to give.
