Early Morning Magic?

Disneyland has or had an early entrance ticket with a similar name that is separate from EMH. It is for guests who stay a minimum of 3 days. Maybe it will be like that? Probably not with all the new extra fee events. But one can wish!

I believe that "Magic Mornings" are only available when the park is already open for EMH. Because the number of DLR resorts is so much smaller than at WDW, it is a way to allow others in early, as well.

Off another thread as showing on the HUB .... this in itself makes no sense so waiting for the other shoe to drop. How much? Will it include breakfast? Will they still allow pre-park breakfast ADRs? Is this in essence a purchased FP+?

Disney Early Morning Magic- Fantasyland

Guests Check-In beginning at 7:30 am at the Main Entrance of Magic Kingdom, by the Far Left Hand Side Turnstiles. Guests will receive a sticker for identification.

At 7:45 am Guests are allowed to enter Magic Kingdom. They will make their way to Fantasyland where they will be free to enjoy Peter Pan’s Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Much as I'm not the target market for this AT ALL ( 1. Will not pay 2. 7:45AM? Are you for serious?), I just don't see how this could be a value at any price. 3 attractions to choose from? They are each cool attractions, but I expect most would be bored with them before the early access expired.

Personally I think all of fantasyland should be open for this.

I think there will be more to it than this, more attractions for sure. The night thing got leaked too early, Disney wasn't ready and it was to be part of other announcements. Certainly had it come out on time we would know more like a hint at the characters etc. I think they are scrambling to get this all pulled together and get out there....

Food for thought -

- Guest A pays extra money for "extra morning magic hours" in Fantasyland to go on rides with no lines with their sticker button.
- Guest B makes a pre-park ADR (paying nothing extra they wouldn't pay to eat later) so is in park while these rides are running.
- Guest A is loving the shorter lines they paid for.
- Guest B eats their cupcake and runs to the lines expecting to ride as has been happening.
- Guest B is told "no sticker no rides" and proceeds to get very upset. Their child watching others ride while they are told no.
- Guest A will be very upset if Guest B is allowed to ride without paying for the privilege.

How is this going to work????

Blergh--I hope this doesn't happen for a while, at least until after my trip! I was so excited to score an early morning ADR at BOG and would hate to lose that pre-park time.

Though with the picture being watermarked as "placeholder", here's hoping this won't be fully ready for launch for a bit.

I wonder if the reason so little is promised is so Disney has flexibility in how much they actually offer? I mean, three rides is pathetic. They can't seriously only going to be having that open can they?

The value for this as described is almost non-existent. Many times of the year if you're willing to rope drop you can do most of Fantasyland before the park gets busy anyway.

In my opinion, this is there way to reduce the PPO breakfast BOG fiasco. They already jacked the price up so much because people will go and just order something small and book it to 7DMT. Now they can offer a dining package at BOG or CRT and a few select rides at a set per person price.

I can understand and respect the rationale behind this much more than the evening event. The instances of 8 people booking breakfast at BOG and ordering one cupcake to share to get early access are all over the place. How can you blame Disney for wanting to stop that practice? They did not build that amazing castle for people to take advantage like that. I personally would be embarrassed to do it but it is apparently common practice. This is a loophole that was being exploited as opposed to EMH which were included with the exorbitantly priced resort rooms.

If this type of offering proves successful, this could not only be then end to EMH, but also PPO ADRs and potentially even rope drop. Just speculating here, but it would tie together the 'why' of these changes that otherwise make little sense to most on these boards. You want photos on an empty Main Street? Want a jump on the 7DMT crowd, or couldn't get the hot commodity FP? Buy Early Morning Magic, or After Hours. It would fix the BOG cupcake issue and jacked up breakfast prices, since it would likely be part of a package.

Interesting strategy. Troll discussion boards. Make note of all the things people value, or any ways people have figured out to make the most of their trip. Then, force them to pay for the experience. It would elevate what Disney is doing to beyond greedy... It would be downright diabolical.

Take that, Disney lovers. Oh, and have a magical day. The days of quality and exceptional service are LONG GONE. Shanghai had better be worth it.

Agreed with many above.

RE: BOG

First, Disney created this situation by (1) Not making it true prix fixe to start which would have guaranteed income and by doing that kept it at a reasonable price and full. Yes it might be full at times but many are ordering minimal food so sales are lower, which has driven the price up.

Second, Disney added the cupcake and ala carte drinks to the breakfast menu. Dumbfounded.

From day one this place should have been Table Service all around. If not all, if you are doing if for dinner, you should do it for breakfast because they are undercutting themselves at CRT and CP from folks who want the early entry and now minimal steps to 7DMT and A&E (for now). They have this very valuable commodity and they are giving it away.

We have no idea how much this "Magic" is going to cost so we don't know yet if it is a value or not .... the issue is more how will this work with PPO and EMH. Or is it going to be a component of both???

EMH costs money, makes no money. Folks are using it to ride, they spend minimal. At some point Disney was going to find a way to at least be in the black. $15 resort fees .... pay as you go, if you go ... bundle with meals .... or drop EMH. I just don't see it continuing as it has been. BOG needs to be fixed, EMH are too costly, folks want to buy FP+ but Disney has always said no - so they sell it back door like Dessert Parties, Dining Packages ... and now Magical Hours/Meals...

We do Welcome Show, Peter Pan, Winnie The Pooh and 7DMT first. I don't like to use FPs on them because we enjoy the interactive queues. Peter Pan is only even worth it for the queue, IMO.
IF the price is right & IF there's enough character interactions to be worth missing the Welcome Show, I might consider this. But those are two big IFs!

There aren't packages with Bog or CP. The meal included will be at pinnochio haus. That's what Kenny's website said anyway.

Agree. Especially since most will be at Peter Pan and SDMT. It is no good to let people in 1 hour early if it is a 45 minute wait for SDMT.
That's where this needs to be really limited, or there is absolutely no value whatsoever.

Agreed with many above.

Reported price is $69 per adult, $49/child.

And valid park admission.
