How crowded is EMMH at MK? I am trying to figure out what is a good time to be there. We will have a stroller and 2yo and 7yo and 30yo kid (hubby). I've heard security can be a nightmare at times. Also would love to be there for the rope drop.

Are you talking about the Early Morning Magic (EMM) or Extra Magic Hours (EMH)?

EMM is the early morning ticketed event, EMH is when you get in an hour early (or 2 extra hours at night) for staying on site.

Either of those events will find fewer guests in attendance than at a regular morning opening.

If you are asking about Early Morning Magic (EMM, the "extra expense" event that includes breakfast,) there will be FAR fewer guests attending, BUT only 2-3 attractions are open, and NO Rope Drop ceremony.

If you are asking about AM Extra Magic Hour (EMH, the "no extra cost" event for guests of WDW resorts - no breakfast,) there will be fewer guests attending than at regular hours opening, with only the attractions of Tomorrowland and Fantasyland open, but there WILL be a Rope Drop ceremony.

Extra note: Disney could not possibly have named these events (along with PM EMH) to be any more confusing to guests.
It is almost as if they were TRYING to make things as difficult
as possible to distinguish between these (very different) events.

EMH in the morning. Thanks for clarifying.

If you're staying onsite and you can get your 3 "kids" up and out to the park before they start, you'll love it. But you need to be at the bus stop no later than one hour before that EMH begins and a little earlier would be even better. There will still be a crowd to get in, but not like regular rope drop.
