I understand that the weather can be kind of rainy during June as well so I wonder if that will disperse the crowds a bit? I was reading that during Gay days it is most crowded on the saturday at MK and Sunday at Epcot so I would just avoid those days, out of respect of crowds and not the people there!

Hey CanadaPT!

It was my experience in June that if there was a cloud burst or a thunderstorm in the afternoon, many people would take that opportunity to head back to the resort to nap (or swim, if it cleared by then). Sometimes we headed back along with the masses. Once or twice we stuck it out in some stores and found that crowds were a little bit thinner after that. I would think that the best way to avoid the most significant number of people would be to tour counter to the events scheduled (ie EPCOT on Saturday and MK on Sunday as you mentioned).

Hope you have a wonderful trip! :wave2:

A friendly reminder. The topic of this thread was:

My question is - Does anyone has an
idea about whether this has a significant impact on crowds that weekend?

Let's keep the discussion to the topic of crowd size during the first week of June, please?

Hi marciaje!
We have gone during the first week of June a lot over the years. We like it because our kids are out of school and the crowds are not as heavy as later in June, nor is it as hot. (We've even had the pleasure to enjoy 70 degrees and low humidity at that time of year for a couple of days--followed by 80+ and high humidity! Ha!) Regarding Gay Days, we found that MK on Saturday is the only park that gets really crowded during that time, but MK on a Saturday is crowded anyway. If you want shorter lines, just choose another park on Saturday and enjoy your trip!

It's comments like this that totally eradicate any other point you may try to make. You have convinced me that there are some groups worth avoiding, not just at WDW but in life in general. Not those that disagree with me, but those who can't discuss differences without resorting to comments that have no merit.

To the OP, sorry we've gotten so off topic. You have received some good advice in the middle of all this. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Thank you for all the helpful answers to the OP's question. I am going to lock this thread, but if anyone feels the need to continue discussion, please feel free to open a new thread on the Debate Board.
