EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Wow, that is pretty scary Kathryn. Glad everyone is okay.

Andy is SO CUTE, Stacie!!!!

It has been a busy week here with work and Halloween. Today is Brad's 40th b'day. We both have the day off!!!:cool1: :cool1: No kids :cool1: I am getting ready to take them to school now.

Today is David's birthday too. How about that? He's working though b/c he's taking Thanksgiving through New Years off. :cool1:

:bday: To David and Tony

The earthquake sounds pretty scary. It would be nice if they could warn you one was coming.

Andy's is so cute in his pirate costume. Here is one of Rachel and John. John didn't want to cooperate, so this is the best one.

They are too cute (even if he was uncooperative, which nobody else can tell).

Happy Birthday to the DHs!! Hope you have fun celebrating.

There is no school here tomorrow so we are running away for the weekend. Hopefully I can get the rest of the stuff scratched of my "need to buy for the cruise" list.

Cute picture Susan! You can't really tell that he is uncooperative.

Have fun this weekend Stacie!

I had a cruise nightmare last night. It seems like I have variations on this dream a few times before every cruise. In the dream, it was the last night and I realized I couldn't remember doing ANYTHING on the cruise. It was like I boarded and the whole cruise just passed me by. :confused3 Weird.... Now I am ready to make lists so I don't forget to do anything. :)

Cruise nightmares are not allowed. Only MAGICal dreams!!:wizard:

Why is it that as the cruise fast approaches, our board is slowing down? Is everyone packing?

Have a great week everyone.

My vouchers and luggage tags for ME arrived today! Waahhhoooo!

Hey all--
Back from a fun weekend. Didn't get much shopping done but had a great time anyway.

No nightmares allowed!! Getting ME docs is exciting, that means we're getting close. I think we're under 40 days.

Everyone here is getting excited for Andy's birhtday. We're just over a week away. We had activity day for DD the other day (the homeschool co-op has "school" for a morning at a local church). I help in the nursery so that I can be with Andy. Last month when he was sick it started the Saturday after activity day. Starting yesterday he has a runny nose and is all stuffy. I don't think I'll let him go next month (Dec 7) it's just too close to the cruise.

Cristi--Is it still winter in CO? We are in the low 40s and 50s here but there is a lot of wind so it feels like 30s. Our high school is in the football playoffs tonight but nobody at my house wants to go because it is so cold. We are not ready for winter. Especially the hats, coats, gloves, etc, etc.

Hope everyone has a good week.

I don't think I would take Andy that close to cruise time either. I think we should wrap everyone in a bubble so none of us get sick. :)

It hasn't been winter yet in Colorado. We did have snow that one day, but that is it. This past Sunday it was 75. Today it was around 35 when I came to work, but it looks nice out there right now.

Susan, I don't know where everyone is. When does Sharon get back from China? I will talk to you if noone else is here. :) I check just about everyday, but if nobody is around I don't want to talk to myself.

I was trying on cruise clothes the other day. :cheer2: I need to get DD a pirate costume still. The skirt from her costume last time still fits so we will probably use that. The shirt is way to short, but I am thinking maybe with either a black or white cami under it, it might still work.

Last week was a little busy with Halloween, Brad's B'day and Rachel's bday party. Rachel's Bday isn't until this Saturday, but we ended up doing her party last weekend. Five girls came over, but only 3 ended up spending the night. Then on Saturday night we had Brad's mom, dad , sis and family over for dinner for his b'day. Then I had to work Sunday. Whew... I need a break... :)

I'm around. I've just really busy with school and work and finding a full time job for January and I"m trying to finish my October Trip Report before this cruise.

So no talking to yourself :p

Good, I hate to talk to myself. People seem to think that is really strange. :goodvibes

I check almost every day as well. So, if you post a message, I'll respond.

John also has the sniffles and David has sinus stuff. I hope it all passes through before the cruise.

Stacie...I'm really getting worried about taking John on the cruise. He is waking up every 3 hours during the night now. I'm quite exhausted. I'm not going to have much fun on the cruise with only a little sleep. Also, how can we keep him entertained? He is so active and into everything. Any advice? I also thought maybe we could hang out in one of our rooms while the boys napped.

Everybody stay well.

Susan--Somehow it will work out. Things always seem more stressful when your short on sleep (which you definately are). This past weekend Andy was all over the hotel room, I took the receivers off the phones, put the garbage cans up on the furniture, and kept the bathroom door shut. Then the only thing that he kept going to was the phone cord and lamp cords plugged into the wall. I don't remember there being a lot of cords in the staterooms so that is a bonus. Do you have Flounder's booked during dinner? I think I have an hour every night except pirate night. That way when he has had enough of sitting at dinner he can go be a wild man for a little while. If you already have your hours used up, you should be able to get more on board (at least we did last time). You guys are certainly welcome to come and play with us, we have two connecting staterooms so its possible that one could be a napping room and one a hanging out room. Do you think the boys would sleep or just stand up in the pack and plays and "talk" about Disney Cruises? :) Anyway, I'm sure between the shows, the characters, and just walking around in the stroller John will be satisfied. If it comes down to it, he can come have a playdate with Andy on a sea afternoon and you can take a well-deserved nap!!

I'm not sure when Sharon gets back, it should be soon, she has to have time to pack for this trip.

Melissa--Good luck on finding a job, I forgot that you still have finals to endure before your free to cruise and have a good time. The countdown has got to be bittersweet for you, closing in on finals YUCK!! and a cruise YEAH!! What a good way to reward yourself.

I called to see what movies were playing while we're on board. I didn't catch all of them, but these are the ones I did catch: Wild Hogs, Bridge to Terabithia, Meet the Robinsons, Pirates of the Carribbean at World's End:cool1: pirate: , Ratatouille, Invincible, Game something??? No Christmas movies were mentioned, and I don't remember him saying Enchanted. We were hoping for that one.

Looks like I'm the one talking to myself now :rolleyes1

Hopefully Enchanted will be on there. We won't know for sure until we get on the ship though :(

37 days and 6 hours and 55 minutes till our flight to Orlando, but who's counting. We haven't started packing the suitcase yet but we got two piles going, one for DD and one for me. DH is on his own. It's hard to believe that its so close now. It seemed so far away when whe booked back in early spring 2006. Hope everyone stays healthy. Laura had the chicken pox the third week of December last year, don't have to worry about it again. DH is back to 100% now from his gall bladder surgery and is looking forward to a hopefully stress free week in the sun.

Patty

Hooray, my computer is up and running again. I'm happy to see that the boards are active again.

I hope, hope, hope they have Enchanted playing on the cruise. I've seen the trailer and it looks fabulous. Susan, how did you find out what movies are showing during the cruise?

The last I remember hearing from Sharon is that she was going to China with DS, and then soon after was going on a cruise with her friends. She should be checking in soon.

Stacie - have you heard a confirmation from DCL about the group brunch reservations? If we have group ressies, I'll cancel my independent booking for an 11am brunch time. I think someone on the list was looking for a reservation, and they are welcome to mine.

At our last Girl Scout meeting, we were planning the week-long trip that we're taking this June. Some parents are calling it the "Southern California" trip, but others (including me) and the girls are calling it the "Disneyland" trip. The girls are lobbying hard for more than one day at the park, and some of the adults just cannot be swayed. I need some convincing rebuttals for the girls - are there educational aspects of Disney that I might be overlooking :goodvibes ?

Happy birthday to the toddlers and the DH's!

Kathryn--The last I heard from DCL we are on for the group brunch. They are supposed to check in again with me in mid-November.

Are your Girl Scouts raising the money for this trip themselves? Parents can't argue if they've made the money. SELL THOSE COOKIES!!! I'm not sure that you can call it educational and I don't think there are any badges for it but it does sound like A LOT of fun.
