EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Wow, unix, that is one happy boy!! And a lucky one too! I hope you get through your dives with flying colors.

I completely understand the fact that hobbies are expensive, unix. I'm also getting certified for SCUBA (working to be a master diver through my university). Well, $600 later, I just now got most of the gear.

Will you be doing any of the dive excursions on the cruise?

P.S. I'm assuming that the Mickey towel in the picture is yours! :thumbsup2

Cool Unix! THat is great you are getting certified. I don't think I could do it. I think I would probably panic.

Tammy, that is really scary about the blood poisoning you had. I don't think I was that sick, but who knows how bad it would have gotten if I hadn't gone in. Some of the pictures I saw on the net looked pretty bad.

Yeah, it was pretty scary...that is for sure.

I am really tired. This new job, new location, and marital problems are really stressful and I stay tired alot of the time. I hope it is not a little bout of depression coming on. That has been a recurring problem for me from time to time. I think maybe I should start an exercise program. That usually picks my mood up quite a bit.

How are you doing Cristi?

good pictures unixadm.

Hobbies can be expense, I do scrapbooking, I have to hide my new supplies from DH. :rotfl2: .

I think I told this before
I buy thinks I don't need ,with money I don't have, to stay in plastic bags, that I can't find :confused3

Hope all is well with everyone

In two days we will me another month closer to our cruise. :cheer2:

By back is finally starting to feel better. Not taking percoct anymore, just a mild pain medication & muscle relaxer. At least I can walk better.

Is everyone going into early hibernating(sp). Boards are quiet.

Welcome William. 15 months seems like nothing compared to when we booked.

I'm taking a break from cleaning and having a bagel. Seems like I need to eat every 2 hours. I've still be quite sick, even at 13 weeks. I hope it passes soon, as we're headed to WDW on Saturday, one week from today. We'll be at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Sept. 29. Even though we decided at the last minute to go, we were able to get some Character meals. We tried to get the Fantasmic Dinner package, but they were all booked. Anybody have any advice on how hard it is to get a seat there?

We were going to take this trip in January, but decided to move it up. Even though the weather will be cooler in January, we thought I'd be a bit uncomfortable at 29 weeks. I just hope my morning (all-day) sickness goes away.

Sharon, hope your back continues to improve.

Stacie...how far along are you now? I think you're in the final stretch. I'm interested to hear how things go. My next appt. is Oct. 2.

Take care everyone!! See you in 15 months!!

Hello everyone hope all is well with babies coming. :thumbsup2

My very good Hazel was is signed up to go on the cruise with us is very sick. She has been in the hospital 3 weeks, her son found her on the floor unconious(sp) after I called him b/c I couldn't get a hold of her. Well after 3 days so came to & was alert. They moved her to another hopital for rehab, after 4 days she was unconious again for 5 days. She is just starting to become more alert. the hospital thinks she may have liver failure & there is no cure. She is like a sisiter to me, I keep telling her she has to get better we are going on this cruise. If you believe in any higher power she can use lots of prayers. I pray for health more then anything. I would love to see her go on this cruise, she is so looking toward it. The hospital wants the family to put her into a hospice hospital, tomorrow.

Susan, hope you are feeling better soon. It seems like I was doing much better after about 15 weeks or so. Of course I went on phenergan with both kids it was so bad.

Stacie, how are you doing? We haven't seen you around here lately. Please come give us an update.
:grouphug:

We told the kids about the cruise today. I was kind of thinking about switching dates of the cruise, til a time when the kids were out of school. After we missed the day after Labor Day, DD was talking about how much she hated missing school because of the make-up work. She has still been talking about it so yesterday I said , "You wouldn't want to miss even if it was for another cruise?" She said that as much as she liked the cruises she wouldn't want to miss again. DH and I talked about looking at summer of 08 as soon as it comes out or maybe spring break 08. This morning I said something again about not wanting to miss even if it were for a cruise and something clicked in DD. She asked if we were going on another one. When I told her yes, we had one booked, but we may change the dates, she was actually all for missing school for a cruise. ;) So, we will probably keep this date, but I may still look at spring break 08 as an alternative. I just think spring break is going to be a lot more expensive.

Well, Christi, I really hope you don't leave our little group, but I would certainly understand. By the way, how is your finger and arm?

Tammy, we will probably stay with this cruise, but if I can get the spring break for close to the same price :lmao: :lmao: we will switch.

I got my stiches out yesterday and my finger looks a lot better. My arm seems better too. There is a tiny knot in it, but nothing like it was before. I still haven't heard back about the biopsy. Yesterday they hadn't heard anything yet, but they told me to check back on Thursday.

Hey all!! I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth yet, it just feels like I might at any given moment. :lmao:

First off, Sharon, lots of prayers for Hazel, her family, and you. You will certainly be in our thoughts. :grouphug:

Cristi--I'm glad you're feeling better. That must have been scary. I hope you stick with this date. A cruise is a really good excuse to miss school, and the amount of work shouldn't be too much being so close to the holiday, wouldn't she have all of the holidayvacation to make it up?

Tammy--Fall can be a gloomy time anyway and you have a lot on your plate. An exercise class, or just some "me" time sounds like a great idea. Hang in there.

William--Welcome aboard. If you want to join our website set up for the cruise you can find info about it on unixadm's first post on this thread.

Susan--I'm still "grazing" instead of eating, but now I think it's more because I have no room in my stomach (the baby is squashing it). My ticker says a month and three weeks, it will be seven weeks this Sunday. Everything is going good. I haven't gained a whole lot of weight but the Dr. says my measurement is only an inch off. I still don't get how they can tell anything with a tape measure. I'm going to the Dr. every two weeks now. I'm supossed to have another ultrasound at 36 weeks to confirm the baby's position, all I know is that his position changes every 30 seconds, especially when DD puts her hand on my stomach to try and feel him move, he always hides from her. We are getting excited, but nervous. I wish the baby's furniture would come, it's supposed to be here mid-October.

We've been struggling to get in the school, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, soccer, cross country, etc, etc, etc, routine. I think we'll about get it figured out by November when baby comes. DH's business is spinning out of control (in a good way) which is a good thing I guess. It's taking up a lot of my time on top of the Sunday School year starting.

We sold our house last Monday. YEAH!! We came down in price a little bit but got out of it what we needed. I don't know how the housing markets are around the country but in Central Iowa it's definately a buyer's market. Last Wednesday in our local shopper there were like 20 houses for sale by owner, and tons of new listings with the three agencies in our town of 12,000. We feel very lucky that it sold in less than a month. The couple that bought it currently rents and wants to close by the end of the month. That's fine with us, our next house payments weren't due until the 15th, so we only ended up having double payments one month.

Sorry this post is so long. It's good to read the boards and get caught up, I'll try not to neglect them for so long again.

Stacie, Glad to hear from you. :grouphug: It has been so long I was getting worried that something was wrong. That's great that you sold your house! :cheer2: It sounds like you are due pretty close to DD's b'day(nov 10). Don't work too hard before the baby comes.

I figure that with the cruise being the week right before the winter break they shouldn't have too much homework. It seems like that is usually a lighter week for homework. I think we will probably have the kids friends bring the work home and then we can get it from them on the break and get it done. And there is the possibility that we won't miss quite as many days. Sometimes they close on the Thursday and Friday before the official break starts. I really hope they do that next year.

Cristi--My due date is Nov 12. I'm only taking requests that are before the 12th so it just might be. At this point I'd take the end of October. I'm not a very patient person, seven weeks seems like forever.

:lmao: :lmao: Rachel would think it was pretty cool if it were the 10th. DH's b'day is on the 1st so that might be better for you. DD wasn't due until the end of November. I had her 3 weeks early and DS I had almost 3 weeks early too. DD wanted to come even earlier than that, but I managed to hang on to her a little longer.
