We're supposed to be going to the beach with my parents and my siblings and their families. The hurricane might change our plans though.

I had an appt. yesterday and got to see the baby. She's about the size of my thumb. The doctor tried to get the heartbeat on doppler and couldn't find it. I was hoping for a sonogram anyway. You could see the tiny heart beating. It's so amazing.

Off to take DD to dance class...

I can't believe I have been lurking on my cruise thread.

Tammy--Better than me, I haven't even been on the boards for like a week!! Your mom/daughter trip sounds great and who could say no at that price?

We're still trying to get settled. The invisible fence people came on Tuesday so Snickers and I are spending lots of quality time in the yard so she can figure out where her boundries are. I'm over the cold DS gave me. We have no plans this weekend except mowing, and maybe looking for some furniture. We thought about camping but then it would just rain. It will just be nice not having to get up for anything.

Susan--Glad everything at the Dr. went well. I'm sure it seems much more real now. I went on Tuesday and every thing was good. Now I have to start going every two weeks. ICK!!

My Oldest son (35)is in Special Olympics. Every 4 years they have International Summer Games & every 4 years for winter games.

In October 2-11, 2007 Ds was chosen to go to China. He will be going for Swimming. There were only 4 slots for Delaware. I'm so excited I could burst. I haven't told him get. He should get the offical letter tomorrow. He has been to 2 other International games in the States, 91 he went for roller skating in Minn. 99 he went to NC for track. This is only the second time the games have been out of the states. In 2003 it was in Ireland.

I plan on going with him I may have to give up my Med cruise in October 2007. I'm really going to pinch my pennies. I'm still planning my December trip & my Cruise next December 2007

I'll really be looking for Wally world this trip to save on food. We may be sharing alot of meals

We need lots of pixie dust he has enough vacation at work for the trip. I'll keep everyone up dated.

Sharon--What exciting news!!!! Congrats to your son. China sounds like a once in a lifetime trip. I would eat PBJ sandwhiches for a month if it meant I could go to China. Here's loads of pixie dust and prayers that all the details will work themselves out!!

the boards have been quiet for a few days. Where is everyone

Pulled my back last Monday getting out of the car. Been taking pain & musle relaxer medications. Went to DR today If not any better in a few days I have to go PT.

Priced airline tickets to China 1200 -3500 dollars. They only went to July 31st

Don't you love how much international travel varies?

I've been looking at flights from my school trip in March. I haven't purchased yet because I'm waiting on my refund check from my scholarships but on an almost daily basis it changes for about $500 in either direction. Hopefully once my check comes in, I can get one around 1500.

I have been reading the posts but have not been saying much. My life is sooo normal and scheduled right now. Between sports and school and homework and housework I have nothing fun to report. I can't wait for the cruise and keep checking my ticker thinking it will get here faster. Hope everyone is well.

Hi all! Sorry I have been MIA lately. I have been reading just not posting. I have been a little bit out of commission, at least for typing. Back before we went to WDW I had been working in the garden (really about 4 different veggies, that really weren't doing well) and afterwards noticed a prick on my finger (it looked like either something stung me or I got poked by something). Well, I cleaned it up, put some neosporin on it and went on my way. It didn't bother me at all while we were on vacation, but sometime after we got back I hit my finger on something and it really hurt. It still was only a little red and no streaking or anything, so I am thinking no infection. It was sore when I bumped it, but I wasn't going to the doctor for this little bitty red spot on my finger. Well, about two weeks ago I noticed a big bump on my arm above my elbow on the inside of my arm. Kind of felt like a marble in there. I thought I would watch it for a few days to see if it went away ( in the back of my mind though I am thinking tumor.) Well,one night it woke me up when I rolled over because it hurt so bad. I made a Dr appointment the following day. Went to the internist and after looking in some books she though that it might be a fungal infection that I had gotten in the garden, came in through my finger and was now causing inflammed lymph nodes. She didn't want to start me on an anti-fungal though until I saw a dermatologist and got a biopsy on it to make sure what it was. They couldn't get me in to the dermatologist until this past Wed. I went to work for a couple of hours and then went to the appt, with the full intent of returning to work when I got done. I saw the PA at the dermatologist and she thought it was probably bacterial, but she had the doctor come in and look. She thinks it is probably fungal, but we still need to do the biopsy. Boy, talk about PAIN! They numbed it up before they did it, but as soon as the numbness went away it hurt really bad! So, now it doesn't feel so bad and I can type again. I haven't heard back about the biopsy results yet, but they did put me on an anti-fungal and an anti-biotic just in case. I have been really tired for a few weeks now, so I guess I know why. And now the medicines are giving me headaches.....

Oh Christi!!!! I am really sorry! That sounds bad. Once I got blood poisoning from a small scrape on my leg. By the time I went to the doctor, it was really bad. The doctor said I could have lost my leg! I hope you are better real soon!!

Sorry to hear...that doesn't sound like fun....hope that it gets cleared up quickly!

I have been busy with looking forward to our member cruise, busy with work, enjoying my new car, and happy that football season is here. I ended up with Season Tickets to the Falcons...taking my 5 1/2 YO to a game next weekend....I took him to his first game on January 1st, and he loved it. Can't wait!

I am getting certified for Scuba. Back in June, I decided to get my Scuba certification (PADI open diver)

I purchased my basic equipment, the book and DVDs and set up a weekend for the classroom and pool work.

Had to cancel...3 different times due to scheduling issues, illness, etc.

FINALLY....was able to get in this weekend. Did my classroom work....got 100% on the first 4 quizzes, and a 94% on the final test (I questioned two of my answers and changed them.....and should have left them...duh)

Spent all yesterday afternoon and today in the pool....REALLY fun...

I just have to do 4 open water dives and I will be certified! I will be off work on Tuesday and am setting up 2 open dives for then..... I want to see if I can schedule my 3rd and 4th for Saturday.

I can't wait to get into open water......what a fun hobby.....how come all the hobbies I like are so expensive????
