EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

My Dear Magic Friends,

It saddens me to tell you Hazel won't be joining us on the cruise.

I've already Canceled her trip & changed cabins. I did have a nice big handicap cabin. I was able to get a hidden veranda.

Thanks for the prayers

I am still around, just really busy. I am sorry about Hazel bailing out but glad you are still with us.

she didn't bail out on me she passed away yesterday :sad2:
She is my best friend

Hey all--Just taking a break. DD had a soccer game this morning, then we went to finsih up at the old house. We close on Friday. The buyers didn't want the washer/dryer or the chest freezer or upright freezer (both freezers were in the basement) so we had to move those out UUGH! When we got home I sat down to watch football and 5 minutes into the ISU vs Texas game Iowa State was down 16-0. I got so mad that I got up and cleaned. Now it's half-time, my house is clean and I'm tired.

I have the two-palms camera up hoping to catch a shot of the Magic. It's been awhile since I've seen it.

I need to apologize to DisneyCruise05 and the others that are watching for updates on the cruise website. We had to change Internet providers when we moved and they hosted my website. We're still paying for the Internet through them so that we can keep all our e-mail addresses and web pages, but I can't figure out how to update the website since I'm not directly connected to their servers. I tried calling support yesterday afternoon but they were already gone. Hopefully I'll get it figured out on Monday.

Well, that's probably enough chit-chatting, hope everyone has a good rest of the weekend.

it's ok Tammy, the message wasn't clear she had passed away. I was just so upset. I cried all day. I was home alone so it was hard to focus. I needed to cancel as we had a handicap cabin, & I wanted to make sure I could get a hiden verenda, they go fast.

Beth is taking her death really hard, she really liked Hazel

Thanks everyone that means a lot to me.

Hello everyone...I have been reading the posts but have not had anything new to report and my life has been just boring. Greg and I seem to finally be on the same page and we PLAN to put our house on the market this Feb. We are not in a rush so this will be a good time for us. The big question is now do we stay in the city or move about an hour away. Greg says he does not mind the drive with work and 3 of his co-workers will live very close so they could car pool. I love the idea of the country area and being able to build our own house but I have been a city girl my whole life and the idea of having to drive 10min or more to get to anything just seems weird. The subdivision we would build in has 60 lots and only 4 houses so far built soooo lots of construction for many years I would guess. Have any of you been in this situation??? The cruise can not get here fast enough we keep dreaming of sandy beaches and drinks with umbrellas in them.

I can't keep up with my kids they are both in 3 sports and also girl scouts. Next year I am just going to have to put my foot down and only do one or two sports. I have to have a life to right????

Kristin

Well, Kristin, I must be the worst mommy in the world, I only let them do one sport and one other activity. That's it! I work full time and take care of the house, and that is all I can take. So, go ahead, put your foot down. I think many kids overschedule themselves anyway. They need some down time too.

Tammy, I must be an even worse Mommy than you. Neither one of my kids is in a sport. Rachel keeps saying she wants to do dance and Jacob mentioned baseball so maybe in the spring I will look into that. They are both in scouts though and I am Rachels troop leader. Rachel is also doing art club, before school sports and choir. They are all 45 minutes before regular school starts. Jacob will be starting choir in a couple of weeks. It is also before school starts. I really should look into dance for Rachel too. It is just trying to find time to do it. I don't want the kids so busy they don't have time to go outside and play with their friends.

hi everyone, well it has been a very hard day for me. Hazel's funeral was today. they had a few minutes of share time. I told them Hazel was really looking forward to this trip, & how much she had talked about it. Some time that is the chance you take. You need to plan far ahead to save money. After she first got better & when she was out of the hospital I was thinking maybe doing the slip trip.

ok I was a real bad mom, if the kids didn't sports in school they didn't do it. Youngest son did do Little league one year. Oldest son do Special Olympics.
Daughter thought she was grown at 8. Said browines was for sissy's. Oh the boys did scouts.

Hope all is well with everyone. Soon we'll have addition on the board. OMG not me. :rotfl2: Stacie's new one :goodvibes.

My mother used to over do me with Dance when I was little. From the time I was 5 til I was 13 I took 5 different types of dance - which meant I had 10 classes a week of dance - tap, jazz, ballet, modern, acrobats on top of being excepted to make straight A's in my classes. I stopped doing dance when my ankle got bad and I had hurt it a few times. Plus in High School, I was into Robotics, Mu Alpha Theta, Latin Club, Theatre.

I was a busy kid...

Hey all-

Sharon more hugs to you and Beth.

I went to the Dr. today and everything is checking out good. Baby's heartbeat was 140 today, he just keeps chugging along. I'm starting to feel really pregnant. I'm not that big, but I feel like I'm waddling when I walk. I'm probably more self-concious about it though. I can't remember if I told you guys that the baby furniture comes on Friday. After that the baby can come anytime!!! The wallpaper lady came today to hang the rest of DDs wallpaper and started on the kids' bathroom/laundry room. There are Mickey heads everywhere. I love it already and she hasn't put up the bottom paper or the border. I'll have to post pics when she gets done.

Kris--We never lived in a "neighborhood" before. We had two widow ladies on each side and couples with grown children. The development we live in now only has four older couples, the rest are families with children. My kids are loving it, I think they'll love it even more over the winter when they're not as busy and especially in the summer. In the scheme of things, 10 minutes to the grocery store isn't all that bad.

I agree with all of you that's its hard to know when to say no to activities. One of the great things (and bad things) about our town is that it offers so many things for kids to do. My kids are both at school 45 minutes early every morning too. DS has jazz band and show chior before school and DD doesn't want to ride the bus so she goes in with us. We only do one sport at a time, right now DS is doing cross-country and DD is in soccer, this winter they both do swimming. DD has been bugging me to do "art center", basically an open art studio where you can mess with any craft stuff you want but between soccer, church, and Girl Scouts we'd be back to something every night of the week, so we comprimised and let her go to art center in the summer.

Well it's probably time to put the munchkins in bed, I'd better go. Hope everyone has a happy Wednesday!!

Stacie, you keep saying "he". Do you know for sure it's a boy? Your kids will like living in a neighborhood with kids. I love our street. We figured out that on our street we have all of the grades covered except 2nd, 7th and 8th. It's pretty cool. During the summer they sometimes get a kickball game going in the cul-de-sac. It's lots of fun!

I need to look into swimming this fall/winter for at least Jacob. He doesn't swim very well at all. He did get to where he could do a little by the end of the summer, but I don't want him to forget everything.

Stacie, make sure you post pictures when everything is all decorated!

The ultrasound tech was pretty sure that the baby is a boy. She got a few butt shots and it looked pretty clear (even to our untrained eyes) that it was a boy. She checked that what she was looking at wasn't the umbilical cord or any fingers. But, no, she wouldn't say for sure because she herself had been burned. She had bought all pink and ended up having a boy. I didn't opt to have the amniocentesis so we're pretty much basing the "he" thing on the ultrasound. We have bought some neutral things but if it turns out to be a girl, I'll have to do a little bit more shopping.

How are you doing Sharon? Hang in there. :grouphug:

Tammy how's it going in Tenn? Had any good bbq lately? ;) Man, I wish we could get a good bbq sandwich here.

How is everyone this weekend? Last night DD and I went downtown and saw "The Lion King". It was excellent. The costumes were great.

A little later the kids and I will drive up to Loveland (a little over an hour away) to my parent's house and pick up my grandmother. :drive: SHe is going to stay with us until Tuesday. Nothing really exciting planned while she is here. We are going to take her to White Fence Farm tonight for dinner. It is a really good familly style restaurant. THey have animals on the farm, a playground, and a couple of shops. Tomorrow we will probably hang around the house most of the day except for Jacob's bicycle rodeo for cub scouts. It is supposed to be 80 tomorrow so that will be great!!!

Do any of you guys watch Grey's Anatomy? :happytv:
