EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Sharon-So glad that the surgery is over and that your on the road to recovery. Staying home with the AC on sounds like a good plan. Its 95 here today, we haven't had measurable rain since Memorial Day. Maybe tomorrow. DS is loving it because the yards he mows aren't growing at all.

Tammy-Sounds like you got a good deal on the fridge. We have an avacado green kitchen, I'm waiting for one of the appliances to die before redoing it but they are all GE and they just keep chugging along. The stove and oven are original to the house (35 years old) and the fridge is at least 20, you would think they'd be limping along.

The ultrasound technician thinks that the baby is a boy. We're debating between the names Jake or Andy. We like Jake but thats been the most popular boys name for the last few years, and don't want to have five Jakes in his class (that's what happened to Kaitlyn, I didn't know it was popular until after it was too late). If it's a girl I think we'll name her Anna Grace.

Today was the last day of Vacation Bible School. In our town we have thirteen churches that work together, each grade goes to a different church and another church helps. We had 87 kids going into pre-school. It is from 9-11:30 Monday through Friday. I'm glad that it's over.

Hope everyone has a great Father's Day weekend.

Hi guys, I finally got caught up on the thread. It has been kind of a busy week around here.
Sharon, glad the surgery went well, take it easy and feel better soon! I am pretty sure that my name is in glittermaker. I did it so long ago I don't even remember how I did it.

Tammy, it sounds like you will probably be working when we are driving down to Alabama (Wed). Friday after we get in would probably work the best then. We get in to Nashville just after 3pm. I am not even sure where we are staying Friday night yet... guess I should get on that. I will pm you my cell #.

I know what you mean about the no interest card. Don't forget to get it paid off in time. We did one of those when we replaced our sewer line this spring. They send monthly statements and I was just looking to see when we need to pay it off and noticed that if we don't pay it off in time the interest rate is 24% :guilty: We have until October to pay it off, but I did go ahead and send in a good chuck of it this week.

Stacie, I like your name choices. My son is Jacob. I thought that Jake was a good nickname, but he doesn't like to be called Jake. He doesn't mind Jakey though :confused3 Did the contractor get started on your house yet?

We actually got rain yesterday! I think close to 1/4 inch Yippeee!!!! I can't even remember the last time it rained. I heard that the governor was going to ask for federal aid for some areas in Colorado because of the drought conditions.

Thanks for the well wishes. Doing a lot better today, not as sore. I stopped taking the pain medication, I was taking percocet. It can become habit forming.

The boards are still quiet. Most of the threads I'm on are also quiet. It used to be by time I read one thread, the other threads had a lot of posts. I could spend two hours reading everything.

Ok matey's I can't figure out why my glitter isn't working. I think one has a countdown clock. The first one is from my April cruise.

Well not much happening, so I'll go find some trouble to get into

Are we under the 18 month mark for this curise? I think we are but my math skills are way bad, I'll wait for someone else to confirm it. If we are :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

I think it is less then 18 months buy about a week. :cool1:

18 Months would have been June 15th :cheer2:

!7 months & 3 weeks

well it was there. Now you see, now you don't

Glad to see everyone is doing good. I have pretty much lost my mind from all the hammering from the siding going up. We are on day 14 and considering I work from home, I am loosing it. My weekends have been filled with paint fumes and sanding. Believe it or not I am behind and the floors go in Sat....I need some serious pixy dust. I am so happy to see we are at the 17 month mark...sad that I am already counting down like it is right around the corner. Talk more later have a great week guys.

Kristin

Ok trying again,it works when I do the preview

pixiedust: pixiedust: Pixie dust for Kristin! Have you passed out from the fumes yet? ;)

Did everyone have a nice weekend? We drove up to Loveland to my parent's house Saturday (a little over an hour drive). We got up there around noon and planned on just staying for the afternoon, but we didn't end up getting home until almost 11pm. We had fun though. DH helped my dad put a new latch on their gate (DH is a bit more handy than dear old dad :) ). My mom, DD and I went shopping! We went to Hobby Lobby to get some ideas for flowers for mom and dad's vow renewal in August. I don't know if I mentioned it on this thread or not, but it is my parent's 40th anniversary in August and we will be in WDW with them at that time (along with my brother and his family). They are going to do a vow renewal with my DD being the maid of honor, DS being ring bearer and Dnephew being best man. It should be a lot of fun.

After we got done at Hobby Lobby, we went over to Foley's to try to find some shorts for DS to match the shirt he is wearing at the wedding (it is a casual wedding). We didn't find any shorts for him, but we found a lot of other clothes for the kids there. My mom ended up paying for it all (she has a Foley's card and got an extra 15% off ). I think she spent $58 and got 9 different shirts (for DD, DS and Dnephew).
And we also got DD her first bras :scared1:   My baby is growing up..... :sad2:

I am glad we are under the 18 month mark too! It is pretty sad to be counting down this far out. I saw a thread about Dillards having formal wear on clearance and for a split second thought about going to check it out. That is way too far ahead of time.....

I had Service Unit Manager training last night for Girl Scouts. It wasn't too bad, but it made for a really long day. I was at work at 7 am and didn't get home until 10 pm last night. I am tired today.

I found a website last week that has some really good Girl Scout songs on it. If any of you leaders are interested, I will post it on here.

pixiedust: Pixie Dust for Kristen. I would be going zonkos too! That's why we rented a house in town for during the construction.

The latest saga in our remodel is that even though we are not in the city limits, the city is in charge of the building permits for a two-mile radius. There is a statue that you can't build with 10 feet of the property line. We are planning to build on our exsisting patio which is we think 6' 10" from the property line. The property hasn't been surveyed in over 35 years. So now we get to have a survey done, and depending on the result, apply for a variance. The bulldozer idea is starting to sound good again. :)

Cristi-SU training on top of working a whole day does sound like a loooong day. I'd be interested in the website. Sounds like your little girl is growing up. We're not allowed to say the bra word in our house, her brother might hear it. I refer to them as upper undergarments, much to DDs dismay. She can't even walk past them at Target without blushing.

Tonight is the kids first home swim meet. I help with the concession stand in the lobby where it's not so hot (they are in the indoor pool). I definately bringing my fan tonight!

Hope everyone has a good day!

I live in a small apartment with my family. How did we ever accumulate so much stuff?????? I am packing for my move and I swear the stuff is multiplying! I keep having to get more boxes and each time, I think, okay, that will be enough, then I get to the bottom of the pile and i need more and more!! I am at my wit's end. I have hauled a truckload of stuff to the dumpster and there is more to go!! Ughh! Thanks for letting me vent. Hope you guys are having a good day! :sunny:

Vent away Tammy..... we are here for you. We decided that after our last move we are never moving again. Entirely too much stuff.

I noticed that there are some new smilies

:joker: ::cop: :beach: :drive: :butterfly :snail:

I don't remember seeing these before.

I live in a small house, very small closet space. Moved in 30 years ago This August. The sad :sad1: part it would have been paid off next month. We just refinanced it for another 30 years, Oh my Goodness if we live that long :rolleyes1.We have colllected way more then we need, & then much more.
Any way next month I'm having someone come in put clost organizer all around the room. Our bed room has no closets at all. We are taking the dresser & the chest out, I think I'll have more room. Well we have a narrow hallway, in even smaller at the begining as the huge TV entertament center closed off part of the hallway. For two days I;ve sat & looked at this small opening wondering how I;m going to get the furniture out of the bedroom. :scared1: Any one live near me :rolleyes1

When my ship comes in :dance3: I'm going to move to big house & have mission organization come bail me out. :scared1: I'll buy everything new
