DVC studios - fewer amenities

I just logged into dvcmember.com, went to "my profile", down to "e-mail" address and where the e-mail address should be, it said ******disboard mbr*****. Now I absolutely never put anything like that in there. Even if I did, it wouldn't be a valid e-mail address. Ok Disboard monitors--what's that about?

I signed in & it's still showing my email address.

That is really weird.

I have not heard anything back from my email, sent on Monday or Tuesday (I forget which). I also sent 3 letters out today.

I got curious and looked too. It didn't seem any differnt. My email address was the same.

I found it interesting that Dh used something very close enough to our screen name as member name. If DVC did monitor Dis they would know who we are (and magic too.)

I logged into DVC member and my e-mail address was changed to mickeymouse.com. or something like that on my profile. Not a good sign!

PS. So, then I went to send them a message, and my proper e-mail address is there. Does everyones show the mickeymouse@disney.com where the Profile information is? That page has all of our contracts, it seems strange. I admit, I never checked the profile page before.

I had not yet added an e-mail address to my profile when I saw the message. So, this time I went in and added one. I'm going to check it later and see if I'm still a ***disboard mbr****.

I just checked mine, and it also had MickeyMouse@Disney.com in place of my email address.

One was my email address, but my other one says:

MickeyMouse@disney.com

I copied and pasted that from Profile.

Well, I didn't read all 58 pages of this thread but we just returned from BCV on Friday, March 7 and tonight has been my first chance to check out the disboards. We had the styrofoam cups instead of the glasses and ceramic mugs in our studio. I'm not sure how many we had but probably 10-12 as we still had a couple left at the end of our 6 day/5 night stay. I know from the few threads I read that I am in the minority but DH and I really liked having the disposable cups. If they had only left 4 disposable cups, I would have thought that was cheap but we had plenty for our stay. I know it isn't environmentally friendly but I really enjoyed not having to wash the glasses every day. We did get the liquid dish detergent and sponge which I wouldn't want to do without as we washed our refillable mugs daily.

Mine as well. Before we start to roll out the conspiracy theories I would point out that the poster who first noticed this wasn't aware of Cupgate 2008 when they checked their profile.

Based on the past poor performance of the DVC member website, I would suggest that Chip or Dale has been at play again this week, and that it is a coincidence.

Actually, it sounds more like a bad spot in their database, rather than a hack. My profile is OK, so likely where ever the bad field is located, it affected all the entries after it, and it is pulling the email field from someone elses' profile.

Not an easy problem to fix, unless all the affected people enter their correct email address.

Sometimes, depending upon the database program they use, someone entering an unexpected or special character can throw it out of whack.

Just finished addressing my snail mail to Environmental Initiatives, Member Satisfaction, my DVC guide, Mr. Lewis, and Mr. Iger.

I checked the DVC Member site-my email is not affected or "tagged" in any way...at least not yet
