DVC preview of Pandora!

We went last Saturday 5/13. We registered for 5 people, but stupid me only put 2 people in our room reservation. When we noticed the other 3 people in our party didn't have the Fastpass+ on their MDE app, we called MS. They informed me nothing could be done and the other 3 people could not attend, even if added to the room reservation.

Well we decided to give it a shot anyway. We showed up, got in line, and sure enough ... the CM scanned only my magic band and asked how many. I responded "5", and he let us all through no problem. For those that are worried ... I wouldn't be too worried. In order for them to scan every band and deal with all the issues, I think it would take too long to get everyone through.

Just got back from our trip about six hours ago. Went on Saturday (5/13) in the morning. As a PP stated the river ride was down when we got there, but was up within 40-45 minutes. I really enjoyed the boat ride, seemed way to short but someone said it was around 4 minutes but sure didn't feel like it, so much cool stuff to see. Didn't have a problem with the seating with FoP. Sure did make me motion sick though (also got motion sick on Star Tours as well, which has never happened). Land itself is amazing to look at, can't wait to see what it looks like at night come next year. Hopefully once the land it open to the public it will put doubters to rest. Great addition to AK.

I'm here now. It's about 5 pm and the line is snaked around to the from entrance area. People are waiting for the 6-8 preview. I hope it doesn't take too long to get in. That line is discouraging.

We previewed Pandora this morning. The line also snaked around to the bridge, but we were in the area in about 15-20 minutes.
FoP is absolutely amazing! We all loved it and were able to ride it twice. The second time we were practically the only ones on; I think most people moved over to the river ride. Again, FoP lived up to the hype for us. We all said it was our favorite ride ever. (Good to note that we have not seen the movie either.)

The entire area is lush and exotically beautiful. The CM's are thrilled with their new area assignments. All of them said they are so excited to see the other new areas in WDW (Star Wars/Toy Story)because this one shows them how committed Disney is to excellence.

(In perspective, we were underwhelmed with the final enhancements in the MK new fantasyland area. We felt they could do so much more with the space. Pandora did not feel that way to us for what it's worth.)

We went to the 9am preview on 5/16 and the whole experience was flawless. We were at AK at 8:40, were on the left side of the Tree, went right into Pandora at 9 and received a 9:30 paper FP for FOP, no issues on the ride, it was wonderful. After FOP walked right on the river ride ,not as exciting, but we enjoyed it. The whole land and experience is breath taking and I feel so lucky to have experienced it!

I did the preview Sunday. No paper fast passes for FOP and no need for them. The second time I rode I was literally the ONLY person in the queue (I did the standby line) and there were only 4 of us in our preshow and on the FOP ride.

It's a beautiful area and great rides, but, it's 2 hours. Seriously in just over 2 hours I had pretty much wandered around all of it.... the only reason people will be there longer is just the lines they are expecting
