Looking for feedback from DVC Members with Poly as their home resort. If or did you experience "buyers remorse" as your family grew? Poly only has studios and the bungalow prices are very high. Was there a point where you could not stay at your home resort since they did not offer accommodations for your family (including children)?

My nephew and his wife have a bit. I got a "you were right" comment as I had pointed out that they wouldn't have the larger accommodations there and now that they've had their first child they are recognizing the benefits of that kitchen, washer and dryer!

This is why owning poly can be great but along with another resort which has the larger room options. We own AK and are adding on a poly resale- we love it there but we also can see how the rooms with our family of 5 might get a bit tight for a whole week long stay. So at least we have the option of booking poly for the beginning of a trip and moving to a larger room for the end of our trip. Having laundry is a god sent with that many people and luggage.

Depending on when you travel Poly studios are available frequently at 7 months. So while Poly is my favorite WDW Resort, we plan on buying AK resale with enough points for a 1 bedroom each year. And then booking Poly Studios IF available while the kids are still small. Were more than happy to stay at AK if thats all thats available. Once they are older, we have two kids, the one-bedroom will be needed as well.

After our oldest was in 7th grade we needed more space. Our kids grew up staying at the Poly, but the older the kids get, the more personal space (and bathroom space) you'll need.
