Okay, here's an ignorant question. I'm using the Rent/Trade board for the first time to offer points for rent. I couldn't find this in the sticky posts at the top of the board. I've noticed that when you post the points availability, you get a lot of responses. I chose a few to research first, that most closely met the number of points i had to offer. Two people responded right away with interest and they both have availability. How do you decide which one to go with first? What is the prototypical for responding to requests?

I have always tried to honor the first in - first out approach rather than look for the perfect match. However, once I start to communicate directly with a renter, I do provide a priority to those who appear the most reasonable. If someone is argumentative or disagreeable, they go to the back of the line!

The choice is up to you and it's your responsibility to choose a renter who will complete the terms of your contract. They must also follow the DVC rules. If there are any problems, you are the responsible party.

I agree with first come, first served. Even if they both responded quickly, you should be able to determine which one made the first request. As others have said, though, you should give highest priority to those who seem like they understand the DVC system and their responsibilities under this arrangement.

Thanks for all your input, it was a great help.
