We are doing a split stay next month between BCV and AKV-Kidani. We are traveling with another couple and sharing a 2BR for both segments of the trip. I went to do online check-in this morning and got to the part of adding a credit card followed by PIN numbers. DW and I currently have PIN numbers for use of our CC with our MB's. It asks me to create PINs for our two guests. I would like for them to add their own credit card to the room linked to their MB's.

Am I better off just waiting until we physically arrive and just do check-in the old-fashioned way? Or, can I create "dummy" PINs for them to complete online check-in now and then have the front desk CM change the PINs when they add their card at the time they arrive. We arrive 4 hours before them. Since we have a split stay, I'm guessing that we will need to go to the front desk at each resort to add their CC and link to their MB's.

As an added wrinkle, on the switch day, we plan to go straight to Blizzard Beach for the day before heading to AKV to check-in. If we use our MB's for charging at BB, which resort will the charges be attached to? If we check-out of BCV that AM before going to BB, will we be unable to charge with MB's, since we will not be checked-in to any resort? :confused3 It probably does not matter that much, since we will all have our wallets with us at BB, but it would be nice to just walk up to a counter and swipe the MB. :thumbsup2

Just don't pick them a pin code, and let them do it when they check in. That is what we did with the guests in our GFV 2 bedroom villa in April. I was able to do online check-in while not choosing pins for them.

Disney charges to your magic band will find you - even after you have checked out of your first resort. We checked out of BWV, went to Akershaus for the princess breakfast, charged the dining credits and tip to our magic band and then went to GFV to check in. When we got home to GA, there was a separate charge to my Disney visa for the princess breakfast tip - even though we had checked out of the BWV and settled our bill. Disney will get their money :)

Thanks. I was able to get it to work. When I tried the first time, I clicked on the button to update the credit card info, which led to making PIN selections. It had DW's and my PIN, but required PINs for our guests. When I went back in, I did not hit the update button for the credit card and was able to do the rest of the check-in process.

Hopefully we will have good luck with our guests linking their CC to their MB's and everything going to the correct CC's.

We took friends with us on our trip two weeks ago - had to have 1 cc assigned to 4 MBs, and another CC (and different PIN) assigned to the other 4. It took a few minutes at check in, but everything worked just fine.

:thumbsup2 Thanks! I'm feeling more confident about the whole process!
