We just moved close to Disney and it is about a 45 min drive. We really do not want to pay for the 15.00. Can wee park at any DVC resort, and take the
bus ?

Owning DVC does not give you free parking, staying at a resort does. AP holders get free park parking.

No. Parking at the resorts is for resort guests and those that are dining there. If you have an AP you can park at the theme parks for free.

At most of the resorts, the number of parking spaces is barely adequate for guests of that resort plus people dining there. As it is, there are times when resort guests have to cruise up and down every aisle in the lot to find a place to park.

To not pay the $15, all you need to do is book a night and that will give you access to parking for both the day-of the reservation and the day after at the resort you book :)
(Secret: You can even book with cash and have the same benefit.)

A Resident or DVC AP is currently $425 new or $385 renewal. A Resident Seasonal is $299 or Weekday Select is $199. The breakeven point is that a full AP will cover the Seasonal with nine days use for the parking fee.

To emphasize, the seasonable pass, weekday pass and EPCOT after 4 do not include parking. Only the AP & PAP do from what I understand.
