Is there anything I need to know about cruising as a DVC member other than to attend the gathering? Is the gathering worth attending or is it strictly a sales pitch? Also, a recent Navigator mentioned a DVC pin being available -- anyone know if that is a regular occurrence or something special for a very limited time?

I have, several times, forgotten or not realized a little perk of being a DVC member or AP holder (you know, for example, a pin that was available only to one or the other, but you had to know to ask) and wanted to try to get the info and put in my list of stuff for the cruise so hopefully I won't get home and realized we missed out on something cool......thanks for any info! :D

I think the member gathering is worth going to. You find out some interesting info plus they gave each of us a really nice DVC baseball cap. I don't know if that is a regualr occurance or not. They were also trying to get more of us to use our points outside of DVC.

The pin is in your room when you arrive if you are cruising on points. We got one last year. They are still giving out the same one this year too.

Most definitely go. You'll get a gift for attending (it's been baseball caps and lanyards recently) and they give out raffle tickets for prizes that are associated with answering trivia questions. (Here's a hint, no one ever loses.)

Coffee/pastries is served. They will discuss the program and the current offers, but it's low key.

Can you still go to the DVC meeting if you are cruising paying cash instead of going on points? We have a crusie planned in January. Can we still get the pin? How will we know when the meeting is? Thanks!
