Is there really that much benefit between tiers?

I never book cruise excursions ........

Almost no benefits at all. Pearl and Concierge are pretty much the only things that give you a jump on anything. If you like to book on opening day, you'll often save money on the cruise by being a higher level because prices go up, even on the first few days.

If you don't book excursions or dining, then not much. Stateroom gifts are different for higher levels, I guess there's that.

You also get the same stateroom gifts over and over between tiers lol I don't know how many dcl backpacks I have

Thanks! We'd retire right now, but I'm not quite the age I need to be. We are actually planning a quick getaway to Disney World for a few nights to tack onto a work trip in September, and then have a Southern Caribbean cruise in October. (I'm trying to get him used to travelling without our boys ... he's not quite there, and I think he's on to me!)
