DVC in 20 or 30 years

I agree with Beca on the Disneyland point. Like many of you here, who make frequesnt trips to WDW, we are at Disneyland 20 plus times a year (obviosly because it is a 30 minute drive versus a plane ride away). Disneyland is consistently packed and people will always flock to it. Disneyland has changed just like WDW has changed, and the new rides, shows and attractions are what keep people coming again and again. This is what we love best about going to WDW is seeing what is different, while still enjoying our favorites (same at Disneyland). Some changes we like and some not, but hey, that's what makes it interesting and not stale. I hope that WDW continues to expand, add rides and mix it up. This way, when we visit one a year or every other year, we have something to look forward to experience that we never have before. Just my opinion:cool:

True, Epcot is adding new rides - although rides small kids can't get on. :(
Can the Imagineers make another POTC, HM... Gosh, I even thought The World of Motion was good.
The "family rides" are the classics for sure.

I am excited about Soarin, but I would actually like to see them clean up Epcot more before adding new thrill rides - stock the empty Living Seas tanks, clean up The Land, do something with the Wonders of Life Pavilion... I'm sure you get the idea. Why would you spend money on new rides when the rest of the park needs attention to so badly. Quick fix to increase attendance? Look at Test Track. A jump in attendance for a little while, then back to empty?

The attendance between all the parks I'm sure is way out of whack. MK is getting more crowded each time I go. That is where the family rides are, be it old Peter Pan or newer Pooh. And no matter how old I get I will love love Peter Pan. I'm not opposed to new rides, as much as I loved Mr. Toad, Pooh is great. But, as my Mom even said - MK is just the best park, without a doubt. Even as the paint peels, CM morale is down and the hours get shorter - the magic is still there. Eisner can't completely undo this park, but he sure is trying his best at the others.

Shan,

I agree with many of your points, especially the one about adding more family rides. Our favorite park by far is Epcot; we love World Showcase. On our 2nd trip to WDW (this past March) we discovered the boat ride (sorry can't remember the name right now) in Norway, as on previous trips, we walked right past it. We went on that ride about 10 times in 2 trips to Epcot. The reason why is because everyone in my family could go on it (kids are 13, 4 and 2 years old). While Mission Space was a very cool ride, only my oldest child could ride, so I would definately opt for more rides that the whole family could enjoy. And not just at Epcot, but at all the parks. As a major side note though, we definately don't go to WDW for MK. To us, Disneyland is much much better (just my opinion, I am not trying to start a fight). ;)

Didn't the Land go through a rehab not long ago when Nestle took over sponsorship? Most of the building interior certainly was re-painted. Wonders of Life and Living Seas, well, generally pavilions need sponsors to receive the "full rehab". I'm not sure Disney even has any big "plans" for Living Seas, except for touch-up here and there...but overall, it does not diminish my opinion of ECPOT as a whole. And yes, I like "World of Motion" and those classic type rides...but unfortunately, that is not the entertainment marketplace of today. Classic rides have lost their "Wow" factor to 3D-Graphics, video games and thrill rides.
