Breakfast at Sanaa - parking?

Sharing my experiences for future DISboarders: we found a PlanDisney article that suggested parking should not be an issue: https://plandisney.disney.go.com/question/staying-off-site-go-sanaa-animal-kingdom-breakfast-588993/ However, we were not able to enter the parking lot in the morning. Luckily, we were able to get a reservation for Boma breakfast on the spot and enjoyed the breakfast buffet there. My guess is that whether or not they let someone in for parking at Sanaa for breakfast may be dependent on time of year (e.g., our visit today was during the holiday season) and potentially up to the CM.
