Has anyone taken advantage of the DVC discounts offered at the Swan and Dolphin restaurants? Looks like 20% at several of the family friendly restaurants... has anyone run into any problems etc.?

We're interested in family style/ not too expensive choices in the BWV/BC area.

We'll be staying at the Boardwalk in June '07 for our first time as new BWV owners :cool1:
We spent an evening on the boardwalk June '06 and LOVED it so much we called our guide via cell and added on "on the spot".

I've read good things about the Cape May Cafe clam bake buffet... any comments?

We're not picky, and have only eaten at Spoodles pizza window and the Boardwalk Bakery so far...

Thanks

We have never had a problem using the DVC discount at the Swan or Dolphin. You just need your membership card. We've used it at the ice cream store, at the restaurant Fresh Mediterranean, and at Tubby's. Now, I think that Tubby's is gone, renamed or something. We haven't been to S/D since the night before the Members Cruise last September. We had some trips coming up.

Bobbi :goodvibes

Cape May, at the Beach Club, is a very nice buffet, although it's not inexpensive.

We used our DVC 20% discount for dinner at Gullivers in the Swan last week...

Absolutely no hassles once I flashed my DVC member card... (Not the room key)...

They have a decent menu there, but we always go for the buffet... Last Monday it was "Americana".. Ribs, Catfish, Chicken & Cornbread, beans, etc.. There is a kids' buffet as well and the desserts are awesome.. :teeth: During past trips, they have had a make your own pasta bar with leg of lamb..

Two things...
1) Gullivers has character dining for dinner.. (Not too many people know this..) Some nights its Goofy & Pluto... On others it's Timon and Rafiki.. This is a good chance for the kids to get some up close and personal time with the characters..

2) The Swan is not managed by Disney, and thus will not take your room key as a charge... Make sure to bring a CC or Cash.... With the discount, the prices are reasonable.. (Not any more than you'd pay at DD or anywhere else on property..)

Thanks I didn't know that! So we could do the buffet w/ 20% off with characters? That's a good deal!... DS 6 and DD 5 are all about characters...and it would be something new (we've done several of the other ones)

Thanks for the tip!

Just make sure you have your blue membership card with you.
Everytime we have we have asked about the discount they ask for that card.
They wouldn't except the room key.
