DVC at DLR and Vacation Planning Service

So, in the past, on one trip to DLR and staying in a Disney hotel, we were able to use DLR's Vacation Planning services (they'll make your TS ressies, Fantasmic and tour ressies, etc). This is a perk available to any guest staying on property in PPH, CGH or DH.

Is that same perk still available to DVC members?
 
If it's available to any guest staying on property, I'd assume that it is also available to DVC members staying there on points. Call them and see - we just got back from the DLH and I have to say that the CMs at the DLH treated us very well.

I just got back from a stay at the GCH on points and used the vacation planning dept. serveral times (fantasmic buffet, PS, etc...) with no problems at all. :thumbsup2
 
Is this something you use before you get there or once you get there? We have two trips to DL planned for this year and I have never been there.
 

If you plan to use them for PS or for the Fantasmic Buffet, it's best to call them at least 60 days before you arrive. Just tell them where you want to eat, what you want to see, etc. and they'll make all the arrangements.
 
Thank you! We are taking a quick trip there in Sept. We have used the service in the past, but I didn't know if it had to be a "paying" guest...Great to hear it is availalbe. It makes those Fantasmic ressies a whole lot easier to deal with!

But you are a "paying" guest. In fact, I think DLR may be getting more profit from your stay than from many others (who are paying discounted rates). Could be why so many DVC members who book DL resorts on points report getting room & view upgrades without even asking! We did this past March.

I know we are really paying (and paying....), but I wasn't sure if DLR saw it that way in regards to the planning. I am so glad we can use it!

I oh so hope for an upgrade! DH will be on a short break from his work overseas in the "not so nice areas of the world" and we splurged on a theme park view...an upgrade from that would be GREAT, although I won't bank on it! But anything that would make this short trip better (like vacation planning) would be much welcomed!
