DVC 6th year Christmas Tree, Sharing a Little DVC Holiday Magic

I changed my mind and decided to ship AKV tree #4 down rather than taking it with us. I shipped it today and it will arrive on Friday.

We are sharing your tree in group 4. My husband actually just told me that he signed up a long time ago. It took me little while to find this thread but my jaw dropped seeing all the beautiful trees. I also was humbled by the fact that so many people were sharing their trees with others. So thank you thank you thank you.
We are getting very excited about our trip and we are 16 days away. I can't imagine how excited you must be. Would you happen to have a picture of your tree? I just want to show my crazy husband what he signed up for. How large is the tree? Did he even give you our information in order to share it and pass it onto the next family? I just went through reading most of the thread and got so much more excited.
So thank you again to the original leaders for the trees and the tree donators.

AKL TREE #1 was shipped yesterday

you are all set to pick the tree up on your arrival date from bell service, just ask for a christmas tree box, your real name(no dis name) and dates are on the outside of the box.

How exactly do I get my tree from Guest service? do I let them know when I get there or do they automatically do it for you. I would love to have it in our villa when we arrive. Thanks for all that you have done.

Please drop the tree off on the date of your departure at 11am with the Bell service for the next family, also please cross your name off the list on the outside of the tree box. Pick up the tree at the Bell service day of arrival after 11 am. There will be a envelope for donations (in each tree box) for Shipping the trees to & from the resorts.

well I did ship the tree down before I was to get there on Nov30th, it was to arrive on the 28th....well it did not, but the other box I sent did....so I had to have a trace put on it, well it took a trip to texas and stayed there for a while, got water logged from the look of the box, and I did not get it till Dec.2nd and I was leaving the 5th......so I have a bone to pick with Fedex about it....

I do hope the families that are sharing it enjoy it

I was having problems with UPS leaving things-delays of days.
I called the center here and they said they were 'slammed' by Cyber Monday. hmmmmm
BTW-they wanted to know how I got there phone#(Bwaahaahaaso you know I'm gonna keep it for future reference). She called the driver and he said he 'left it again'. I told her to tell him that I was supposed to be here last week and 'go get it'. A very sullen driver showed up at 9:45 pm with my delivery.

I shipped my tree on Nov. 19th. It arrived in Orlando on the 24th. It left Orlando on the 24th and went on another "journey". It arrived in Orlando..again..on Dec.2nd..I think..and was delivered on Dec.5th.....damagaed.

I'm sorry, I'm not the only one that has trouble with shipments.

Seeing all of the trees is wonderful. We arrive on Dec 24th and are sharing SSR tree #1 and I can't wait to see it. My family will be so excited.

And I just want to say thank you to everyone who helps make this dream come true for everyone.

I just want to thank WDWSTAR for setting all of this up...MMMCQ thank you so much for getting the tree together..it was perfect..my sister was so excited and happy that this was all possible.. the tree is at bell service waiting for DONALDSEEYORE to pick up on the 14th...when we got there they had a little bit of trouble finding it, some one put in the wrong spot...but they did find it...Bruce helped us so if he's there ask for him (he knows what going on)...well i just want to thank everyone again and next year we will be donating a tree...oh and MMMCQ there is a little something in the box for you..

We are at the BWV and our tree is wonderful. However, we also had a tree coming to us from OKW that seems to be MIA. We have checked and found that there is a tree in Bell Services, but the info on the box is for another family with a different arrival/departure date, so pretty sure this is not ours. We have also checked OKW Bell Services and they do not have it either. We were verified to receive OKW Tree #3 and if anyone knows anything about it or could offer some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to let you know that SSR tree #4 has been dropped off at bell services waiting for haleofafamily to pick up tomorrow. Bell services put a separate claim ticket on the box, as well. Enjoy your vacation!! The decorations are beautiful!!

Hi all - as reported earlier the OKW#3 tree is missing. I have sent a pm to goldenears to see if she dropped it off as scheduled on 12/7. Other than that there is nothing I can do.

The list is clearly on the front left corner of the box and I took the UPS label off when I left on 12/1.

I checked with bell servies today and the front desk. Unfortunately, if it doesn't make it's way back to OKW soon - we may never see it again. And I'm an idiot....I'm not sure that my name is even on the front of the box anymore since I took the label off the front (to make sure they didn't send it back to me). I was trying to make sure that it was clear what was happening with the box. So the pre-paid label and any money that goldenears will be lost in addition to the investment in ornaments, lights, cords, etc.

So living la vida mickey - your tree experience is in jeopardy and for that I'm deeply sorry. But my hands are tied.

This certainly makes things a little less merrier this season!
