150 @ BWV - But we haven't been there yet, with our first trip in just 9 weeks from today (not that I'm counting or anything)!!! We did use some points to stay at GC at Disneyland around Christmas. We plan on going every other year in a 2 Bedroom.

DH and I bought 150 at SSR in 10/03. We're empty nesters, so 150 is fine for us (for now). In 2004, we'll be staying a total of 9 nights in studios on 2 separate trips, including my parents staying in separate studios for 2 more nights. AND we'll have a couple of points left to bank! We like to travel in September, May and early December, which is when points are lowest.

We bought 150 BCV last June. We are going on our 2nd trip and getting 2 studios (bringing family) in May this year.

have you noticed that most of the people in this thread are new buyers and most in the 1000 pt thread have been members for years....so maybe some of us will be 1000 pt'ers some day.

In 2002, we bought 150 points at BCV. We banked everything that year (we were already at WDW when we bought and didn't plan to return that year).

So in 2003, we used our points for:

2 nights in a 2 bedroom at HH in March
3 nights in a studio at BCV in March
1 night at AKL in September
3 nights in a 1 bedroom at OKW in September

In 2004, we plan to use our points for:

3 nights at the Disneyland Hotel at California in April
2 nights at Port Orleans in December

Yes, we have 'banked and borrowed' to be able to do that--but I don't mind borrowing points. We will have 83 point for 2005 to use, and I already have an idea of what we will be doing with those .

So our 150 points are working out fine for us. They are paid in full, all we have to pay are the dues and we are really enjoying them! If it were more points, it wouldn't be so easy to fit the cost of the dues into our budget. Right now, I hardly notice the $40+ dollars a month. So it is GREAT to know our rooms are paid for at WDW and it is a lot of FUN planning all of our future trips!

Started out thinking we would go every other year and bank but since we joined in Jan. 2000 we've gone to:

OKW 4/00- 8 nights
VB 2/01; OKW 4/01- 10 nights
OKW 4/02; VB 4/02- 13 nights
BCV 3/03; HH 7/03- 12 nights
Planned trips: BWV and HH 4/04 - 10 nights
(see below)

With a little careful planning and some cash nights we've managed a lot of vacation on 200 points per year.
That being said; I've got a HUGE ITCH for an add'on at BWV (only 100 points, come on, am I asking too much???
Maybe next year!!

We are proud owners of 220 pts at WLV. We purchased 170 in late Dec. 01 then purchased a 50 pt add-on in Apr. 02. Our DVC agent called and said Aug use yr pts for WLV were almost gone and the prices were getting ready to go up. BCV were being marketed at that time.

We made first trip in Dec. 02 to WLV. We used 80 pts in a studio. We were very conservative and banked the rest of our points for 03. We went back to WLV Dec 03 and stayed in a 2 bed. My MIL, convinced she would never go back to WDW, went with us on this past trip. She is a believer now. DVC helped to bring her back. Bad experience first trip. Shell be back now.

We NEVER EVER considered going to WDW more than once a yr but now with DVC we have two trips planned for this year and two planned for 05. Of course we cant stay at WLV both times because of higher pts so we will be staying at OKW. We are looking forward to trying other DVC resorts out.

200 points here at BCV! We are staying there for the first time this May for five nights in a studio. Before that, we are staying at Vero in a 1 BDRM for three nights. It's our first DVC trip!

We bought 150 pts at SSR. We bought the minimum because it seems to suit us the best, for now. I am actually impressed (so far) with how much we got out of that 150.

We are going down in May for our first visit at our home resort! We cannot wait to go, we will have 5 days in a studio. Then in October we are sending my parents down for their anniversary, we gave them 6 days in a studio and that used our full 150 pts. Thats pretty good if you ask me.

When our needs change, we will either add on points with more at SSR or maybe another DVC resort, or bank them and go every other year if we need a 2 bedroom.
