Hi, Nick. In another thread, bongo59 said they had 1500 points, so that will change things a tad.

PS- Maistre, not Mastre...

Just a little trivia- Maistre is actually the way Master would be spelled during the 'Middle English' period, which coincides with the Gothic period that The Haunted Mansion was modeled after. 'Master Gracey' would indeed have been spelled 'Maistre Gracey'. Early english, prior to Gothic would be spelled 'Maegester Gracey'.

When we were at the MK in October we looked at the tomb stones near the entrance of the Haunted Mansion. I told my DH I thought that is where you came up with your DISboards name.

Is the Haunted Mansion your favorite ride? I can't wait until next year because I heard WDW was going to theme The Haunted Mansion like The Nightmare Before Christmas. We have been to DL the first two year's they decorated The Haunted Mansion like that. It is AWESOME! Make sure to check it out!

Is that how many vacation points these people have-or are they their posts? I'd hate to have the dues payments for 2000 points, but then i'm not rich like the elite must be. I'm just very grateful that I got the 150 points that I got!

With all those points, I am sure many of you can take a few wonderful long trips each year if you want. As someone who only has 150 points, that sounds great and boy would I enjoy that! However, I just can not imagine paying the kind of maintenance fees that you have yearly on that many points. Good for all of you that you can handle that. Congrats on being in the "top 15".

I just finished my 11th contract purchase (10 from Disney and first resale-timeshare store) and now have 2150 points. All either OKW, BWV, BCV and HHI Also have two brothers, one sister, son, son in law and at least six friends who are now DVC members.

I comprised this list of DVC members that use the majority of there DVC points either for themselves, family, or friends, not to use for other means.

If I do another list for total pts for other purposes, I will be sure to include you.

Why couldn't nuthut be included in the Top 10? Doesn't he use ANY of those points for himself?! I would like to know if anyone in that group is in a borrowing state on any of their contracts? I have 700 pts, which I used to think was a ton of points, but I am usually borrowing to finance 3 trips on points. I only have 520 pts left in 2005, and I haven't scheduled Christmas 2004 yet!!

Maybe if his rentals are slow that year.....

Actually Nick said he comprised his list of owners from people who used the majority of the points themselves. nuthut has made it pretty clear that most of his points are being used for rental purposes.


I have to agree with diane though....I thought that the maximum number of points that any one person could own in DVC is 2000.

One of our computer geeks should figure out how long it takes to break even when renting 2000 pts @ $10 ppt. Hope I am not opening a can of worms, I am trying to figure out why someone would rent all their points out instead of using the points for themselves??? It's sad--sniff* sniff*.

I believe it is 2000 points per resort and 5000 total.
