Gene bought those nicey mouse traps in our old house I picked it up and the damn thing jumped out at me. Mama went out and got some real traps that night. We had a party in the kitchen. Snap snap snap snap snap snap. We had like 13 field mice when they were developing the land around us. It freaked me out for life.

For those of you who can't handle a mouse, good thing you don't work in my library where the mice fly.
We get bats that fly about during the day. I am sure they are more scared of us than we are scared of them.

Meggie threw me a surprise party Sunday - I thought I was taking her to work and the doorbell rang - it was Jason, Shanan, Jen and Alyssa. I had cake then - I have to weigh in tomorrow, so no cake today. At work, I had a cheese stick with a candle in it - and I got to eat the whole thing myself!

Sounds like a great surprise.

Trust me, I didn't want to do it - but I was the only person in the house and Vinny told me to GET IT OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!! I found it early in the morning and he doesn't come home until late, so I had no choice. I still get the goose bumps thinking about it.

Andrea, I would have left the house for the entire day. I have done it before! Or make DD take care of it, which I also have done before...

We have bats sometimes in our backyard. I bought Phillip a bat house but he didn't get it put up last summer. We live in a historic downtown neighborhood with lots of huge trees. Bats are VERY beneficial. They eat tons of bugs.
