DTD Courtyard

We just got back from 5 nights at the 20.03 rate and had a great experience! Check-in was a breeze, but I wasn't asking for a specific view either.... We had room 230 (in the wing facing the pool). Staff was very friendly, answered all questions, offered advice, etc. Not one mention of my rate.

Our room was very spacious--accomodated our playyard without even taking up floor traffic. We had the two sink setup which was great. Table and chairs served us great for our in-room breakfast every morning.

Never had any problems with noise or smell, housekeeping was very efficient, and staff very friendly. We only did the managers reception once, but they were very accomodating when we asked if juice was available for the kids instead of pop. They appeared shortly with apple juice from the 2GO area.

We thought the bus system was quite efficient and timely. Maybe they don't come as often as the Disney buses but they stuck to their schedule, so we always knew just when to arrive to catch one. System worked out really well for us, especially being able to stow our double stroller underneath.

Not sure what a "real" hotel would be, but we had a great time staying at the Courtyard (And to think...we thought it WAS a real hotel...silly us....) Would definately stay again......come on 20.04!

We stayed here at the end of Sept at the $20.03 rate. When I asked if we had a tower room, she replied "Not at that rate" in a rude manner. I informed her that I knew that we were not the only ones who got that rate, and that others had been getting a tower room with a DTD view, but didn't argue any further. She was very rude..........not a smile at all.

When we got to the room, it was the worst view in the hotel. There are 2 rooms on each of the wing floors that face the parking lot and a few trees. I immediately called the manager and she told me that noone ever gets a tower room for that rate. We had a lengthy conversation and she changed her mind and stated that they used to but that the special was going over so well that they had to start putting all people that got that rate in the wing rooms. I informed her that would be fine, but that I really wanted at least a pool view. She moved us to the 12th floor immediately with no problem.

I will say that after the initial rudeness, the rest of the time we were treated very well. The hotel was clean and very nice. Bus service was good........ran almost every 20 - 30 minutes to each park.
