Droids or Galaxy’s Edge first?

What order would you do these? I’m trying to decide if we should do Droid Depot before or after all the rides at Galaxy’s edge.

On the one hand I think my kids will like to have their droids to interact with the area while in line and stuff, but also will it be a pain carrying them onto rides with us?

Thanks for your input!

I would do the rides first in order to avoid needing to carry the droids on the attractions. Many do, it just adds complexity. Also, once your kids make their droids they will likely want to stop and play with them which will cause the attraction lines to grow during this time

I got the droid backpack and took my droid on Rise back when there was a VQ so you couldn't plan the timing. It was a convenient solution, but there aren't any interaction points in the queue, so I wouldn't, like, do it on purpose.

What you really want to do is walk around the land with the droid so you can hear it interact with things. Double-check beforehand, but you may need to have the droid switched on, and the controller switched off, for this to work.

If your group has multiple droids, they will also talk to each other, but that's also true outside the queues. So it could be a way to keep the kids occupied in line, but you could also let them play the datapad games for the queues if they are old enough/have phones.

But yeah, a droid is a somewhat bulky extra piece of baggage, and it doesn't weigh nothing. Maybe you could compromise and do the droids mid-day? Like rides, droids, then other stuff?
