Driving Northwest NJ to Florida

For anyone who wants to know. Here is how we got to Florida from Sussex County, NJ.

Sat, 5:00am Left for Florida

9:30 - First Stop exit 130B Virgina

12:30 - Second Stop Exit 107 Kenly NC (McDonalds)

3:30 - Third Stop Exit 122 SC

6:30 - Stopped for the night in GA Darien Exit 49. Stayed at Hampton Inn $89.

Sun, 6:00 quick breakfast at Hotel and drove straight to Disney.

Coming home we left Saturday at 5:30 and drove straight home. Got home at 11:30. We made a few quick stops for Gas and late lunch.

Thanks for the info. We are driving down from Suburban Philadelphia in September and have been trying to get as much information as possible.

Where is Sussex County are you from? If you don't mind me asking. I used to live in that part of NJ and my father still does.

We live in Newton, NJ Sussex County.

For DeeCeeSW the Hampton Inn was real nice. It's a good idea that you got a reservation. We didn't have any and the hotel was almost all booked. We were lucky to get a room.

If there is any room left please pick us up in Long Valley. There are only 4 of us and we travel very light. Oh, would you mind terribly if we brought the cat?

Seriously, we considered driving for our upcoming trip but airfares out of Allentown were too tempting (and ABE is much less of a hassle then EWR). $118 RT on Delta (connecting in Atlanta).
