Driving in- how far from port to stop?

Yes, there are often accidents you have to deal with. The way I deal with those is getting on the road very early. I wake up at the crack of stupid. If I had 3-4 hours drive the next morning, I would be on the road by 3AM. There are hardly any cars on the highways at that time. Lock cruise control in at 8mph over the limit and coast. You would get there are 7AM-ish. Find a nice place to have breakfast, enjoy it and take your time eating, then get in the car line.
