I am looking at backup plans in case of a delta strike. The first plan is another airline but I do not know what a strike would do to the ticket cost/availability.
The next thought was driving which is a last resort. I just read the entire driving thread(300+ posts). I think it is a good idea to avoid dc but the hills of I81 make me nervous.
For those who have done this 81-77-26-95 trip is it doable straight through with three drivers or am I asking for problems?

and totally avoid them. I'm the only driver and do it in 2 days. The first day I drive 12-14 hours and finish the last 6 hours or so on day 2. With 3 drivers, it shouldn't be difficult to do straight through, but you'll probably be exhausted when you arrive...
